Interview draft pick Dylan Covey!
If you haven't already heard about Covey's Coven, the Dylan "Splash" Covey fan club on facebook, you're missing out. Because of how awesome he is, Dylan has graciously agreed to an interview with some of us mod-type people.
If you have a question for Covey, please put it in the comments below by Friday, June 11th, at 11:59pm. Just like your favorite MLB chat runners, we'll pick the best, most intriguing, and funnest (yes, it's a word) questions for our interview.

So You're A Brewer!
Will you bend the brim on your hat, or go with the stupid, unbent, Chris Smith look?

How do you spell Milwaukee?
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
Pretty sure that question's been asked in every interview he's done since those comments.
Here’s a link to one interview he’s arleady done.

In that case
Do you regret saying that you don’t know how to spell Milwaukee?
My goodness.

Remember that time when the Brewers picked you in the first round?
…that was awesome.

How much movement does your fastball have? Do you expect to add velocity to it?

Is he a fan of any current or former Brewers?
He’s supposed to have a nice curve, does he like Ben Sheets’ curveball?
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Have the Brewers let you know any plans on where you’ll be pitching if/when you sign?
Questions about his pitches, what he likes to throw, etc.
Have you played any other positions in HS or strictly a pitcher?
I’d be curious about how he was scouted, the relationship with the scout…details about the process.
You don’t smoke pot….right?
Get a ife broseph
Can you lay a bunt down?
Too close for missiles, I’m switching to Ueck.
Can you swing the lumber?
BCB, the preferred above replacement level sarcasm supplier.

My goodness.

Has he ever been a catcher/closer at Wake Forest? If not, then welcome aboard.
Any other quirks about your early baseball life that may be used shamelessly by announcers every time you are in a game?
"I agree but dont agree"
tough to be at wake forest
straight out of HS:P

Questions...
1. You ever been in a cockpit before?
2. You ever seen a grown man naked?
3. Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.

What do you expect your main focus is going to be on during year one of your pro career?
What is your warm up song and at bat song?
Will you grow a mustache like the ax?

Do you know any players in the Brewer's system?
Any general philosophy on pitching? Anything special he does to prepare himself to pitch?
I was disappointed with the lack of hookers but the pancakes were delightful
Will you be good?
Because we need a pitcher who’s good.
Pujols…he’s actually underrated

What do you mean?
African or European swallow?
My goodness.

What is your preferred German sausage?
"The Milwaukee Brewers' line score is starting to resemble an international phone number" - Pittsburgh Pirates Radio during 20-0 shutout - 4-22-10
Could you please grow a moustache?
captainbok: What do you like the most about milwaukee
Jeff Suppan: Captain Bok, that is a great question. Does "Bok" mean Book of Knowledge? My favorite thing about Milwaukee are the Brewers.
he's 18
the better question is “can you grow a mustache?”
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
Do you like to give up all your runs in one inning
Or do you prefer to space them out, giving them up in bunches every time we take the lead?

Can you throw strikes?
Walks are bad, mmmk.
"I signed with the Milwaukee Braves for three-thousand dollars. That bothered my dad at the time because he said he didn't have that kind of dough." - Ueck
Will being a professional ballplayer be your first job?
…from everything I’ve read, coming into the minors out of high school (despite the immaturity of one’s coworkers) is like being dropped into adulthood with both feet, so I’m curious.

'Funnest' is very recently a word,
and even nice Brewer fans should be stabbed a little when they use it. The world is turning into a Larry the Cable Guy routine…
For the record
I’ve only been a Brewers fan for three years. I’ve been using ‘funnest’ all my life. That damn Larry can just stuff it.
"Also, guys." - Mykenk
Are you just not fond of the "most fun" form that expresses the same thing?
E: George 4 (5, throw, throw, throw, throw).
If a train leaves Toronto at 8:24 am, heading west at 98 miles per hour and another leaves Vancouver at 7:32 pm heading east at 78 miles per hour, what time is it in Beijing when the trains pass?
by nullacct on Jun 11, 2010 2:36 PM CDT reply actions 4 recs
a magic sailing train?
should have had the trains heading the direction opposite too so they’d cross first in Beijing.
rec’d though
by PagsBrewCrew on Jun 12, 2010 7:47 AM CDT up reply actions
They don't pass through Beijing. We just need to know what time it is there when they pass.
Pujols…he’s actually underrated
It's a trick...
they won’t pass because they’ll crash!
"My plan is my plan," Yost said.
I don't want to ruin the interview
But he actually tried to answer this
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
Peeled or unpeeled?
Yeah, well, sometimes I drink.

Which Brewers pitcher are you most similar to:
Davis, Bush, Suppan, Parra or Wolf?
"I hope your name is Rick"
Will you join us on BCB?
McClung gained a whole lot of fans by just by referring to BCB! We are hungry for another.
by Bush League All Star on Jun 12, 2010 4:00 PM CDT reply actions
I always like to hear how long draft picks think it will take before they reach the majors.
TW-S's on BCB since 5/9/10: 73
Acceptable: 2

great one
especially for someone picked in the first round coming out of high school.
by PagsBrewCrew on Jun 14, 2010 10:38 AM CDT up reply actions
The interview will be up Tuesday afternoon
Tune in to hear his comments on not being able to spell Milwaukee, what other positions he’s played, and how he got the nickname ‘Splash.’
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
