Help The Sporting News Interview Rickie Weeks
Hey folks,
Last night I got this email from friend of the site Ryan Fagan of The Sporting News:
What's up. Have a favor to ask. We have a feature in every issue of Sporting News magazine called 5 Questions, where we have readers submit questions for the athletes, then we take the questions to the athletes and publish their responses. We’re always looking for more creative/insightful/
provocative questions because they prompt the best responses. I’ve found those types of questions come from informed readers who know these athletes best, which brings me to Brew Crew Ball.
We have one of these set up with Rickie Weeks. Any chance we can get you to put out a call for questions to your readers? You can give them my e-mail and have ’em send the questions directly to me. If we pick their question/answer for the magazine, they’ll get their name and hometown printed along with their question. They can ask questions about anything they want, on or off the field. The more nuanced, the better.
So, if you've got a moment this morning and have a question you'd like to ask Rickie Weeks, you can email it to Ryan at RFagan[at]sportingnews.com. Include your name and hometown, and Weeks could answer your question in an upcoming issue of The Sporting News.
Thanks to Ryan for reaching out to us, and thanks in advance to you for helping him out!

I know what I'd like to ask him...
whether or not he can get hit by 216 more pitches between now and the end of his career.
But the problem is, once they know we’re watching for them to get hit by pitches, they stop getting hit by pitches.
Have the Brewers approached you with a multi year extension?
Of course I think there is zero chance to get an answer for that especially during the season.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
some of these might have been covered elsewhere:
(1) where would he like to hit in the order? he hit 3rd in the minors, i think, and admitted he had to adjust to lead-off when he came up;
(2) what’s with the new ‘do?
(3) i joined the fan club at http://www.rickieweeksjr.com/ before you got called up. i received some autographed stuff but it promised updates and new content! i received no updates. so… what’s going on?
(4) i thought he bat waggle was added in the minors because he was getting around too fast on the ball. have the wrist injuries and lower than desired BA made him rethink the waggle?
(5) wikipedia says that Cosmo named him the sexiest player in baseball in 2009. firstly, did this cause a clubhouse riff with JJ and Ryan, both of whom seem to think they are? secondly, what type of award do you get with that? i’m imagining something bronze and inappropriate.
