Graph of Contentedness and Star of the Game Voting
One of the great things about baseball is the way it surprises you sometimes.
Dave Bush has not been a very good pitcher this season and I wasn't very optimistic about his chances against the Angels tonight. Yet somehow he posted one of his best outings of the season, limiting a good offensive team to one run on seven hits in 7.1 innings, striking out one and walking nobody. The outing was his longest since April 23 of 2009.
At the plate, the Brewers won with a true team effort: Jonathan Lucroy, Alcides Escobar, Jim Edmonds, Ryan Braun and Craig Counsell all had multi hit games and each scored at least one run. Most of those runs were driven home via a two run shot by Prince Fielder and a 3-run double from Corey Hart, who tied Casey McGehee for the team lead in RBI.
The same two teams meet tomorrow in a twilight getaway day game, scheduled for 6:05 Central time.

Hart-Braun-Fielder-McGehee
Now that Prince is warmed up that’s got to be the most fearsome foursome in baseball.
Imagine if Weeks wakes up
1-5 would be unfair.

Even with him asleep
it’s still 5 straight guys with double digit homers.

And 3 guys with over 40 RBIs
Why aren’t we contending again…oh right the bullpen.

Am I crazy to think that this team could seriously have a great second half run?
Not saying they will make the playoffs but I think they might get into the fringe of the picture before it is all said and done.
Not crazy
If everybody on the team comes out of their early-season slumps at the same time, I think they could make a run. It’s not like there’s a lot of competition in the NL Central – the division favorites have been forced to resort to Jeff Suppan.
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
This really says it all.
“the division favorites have been forced to resort to Jeff Suppan.”
Pujols…he’s actually underrated
Amazing how bitter the Halos fans are
Not one ounce of respect or credit for the Brewers or how did they put it over there “a subpar mid-market midget squad”
Well our subpar Midget squad just kicked the living shat out of the JV team(Come on we all know the Dodgers are the real LA team) in LA two nights in a row. And the Angels were shut down both nights by two of our worst pitchers.
Go Rangers ;P lol

Isn't Santana their "ace"?
Yeah, that’s kinda what I thought.
My wife posted on Facebook: “Must be something to do with the red jerseys….Cardinals fans, Angels fans….have to think about this some more…”
Granted, these are LA fans. Late in, early out. Only show up when it’s cool to be seen. Pathetic t-shirt fans.

Nice
these first 2 wins are very surprising. The only thing that could be more shocking is if we played well against the Twins. I am happy that we have a nice viewer friendly start time tonight to close out the series.
Get well soon Ueck
What an odd start time that is 4:05pm start in LA
Not quite a day game not quite a night game WTF does this start time give anyone?
"It's a joke. It's all a joke.
Viewer friendly???
Yet again MLB decide to discriminate against their Europe-based fans by scheduling the Brewers at an 11:05pm start…
