"Brewers organization headed in the right direction."
My feelings upon reading this question were something along the lines of “Are they headed in any direction?”
It seems to me like the front office is standing resolutely, crossing it’s arms, raising it’s chin and saying “We’re not moving!”

Just thought of how to go all Abed on this mess.
I believe this is the front office’s direction:
My fellow Americans. As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball, but tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward, upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.

fwiw...
…
Gomez: No
Escobar: Yes
McGehee: Yes (though a slightly wobbly yes).
Lucroy: Yes
That ain’t bad. I don’t like Macha and I want Melvin fired, but it’s nice to have a rookie SS, a rookie C and a 2nd year 3b and have reasonable confidence in and optimism about all 3. None of them are stars, but they’re players you can win with if you’ve got good pitching (oops) and a star position player or two to fill in around them.
I bet Lucroy makes a few all star games before he’s through…

I went..
Gomez: No
Escobar: Undecided (but I lean towards yes) due to the one-dimensional game
McGehee: Undecided due to the ever-looming regression stick
LuCroy: Undecided due to the very small sample, although I do like what I see thus far
Also:
Melvin: No
Macha: No
Peterson: Undecided (just over 1/3 of a season to judge a guy isn’t cool…Macha’’s got over a year, and Melvin has been doing his thing since 1994)
Sveum: Undecided (even Joe Morgan couldn’t screw up the hitters on this team, most of the time)
Direction: No due to the fact that I think wholesale rebuilding should begin now, and I’m fearing the results of a Prince Fielder trade under Melvin’s watch

Heads up, we're a .500 team
Well, almost – we’re playing .500 baseball right now. For the last month the Brewers are 13-13, and are still the same 9 games out of first place. So in spite of all the issues flying around, we’re basically playing as well as any other team in the division right now.
