Dotel
If you take away his six games against Milwaukee this year, his numbers look like this:
2.76 ERA in 29.1 IP, 18/20 Sv/Opp
Alas, you cannot, so he is stuck with:
4.89 ERA in 35.0 IP, 19/24 Sv/Opp
Eagerly awaiting SBN Madison.
Given the value of saves and ERA when it comes to determining All Stars
I wonder if Evan Meek has the Brewers to thank for his all star spot.
Eagerly awaiting SBN Madison.
Win probability graph
It’s an EKG of a Hart attack!
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

Someone needs to look up the probability of the Brewers scoring with Dave Bush on base
It’s gotta be somewhere around 90%. Every time he pinch runs it’s like 100%.
"I signed with the Milwaukee Braves for three-thousand dollars. That bothered my dad at the time because he said he didn't have that kind of dough." - Ueck
2 of his first two pinch running appearences were Weeks home runs, I thought.
But yeah, he’s been crossing the plate a LOT as a pinch runner.
Today was the 3rd time in 6 PR chances
And his first run since May. He has also scored twice on his own walks(!).
Eagerly awaiting SBN Madison.
I'm scheduling the Weekend Mug for 5:15--an hour after the end of the game.
So be sure to stick around for that.
It's gonna suck when we trade Hart
he’s the only reason I’ve been watching haha

Axford gets 5th win
In what bizarro universe should Axford be given the win, when he gave up the go-ahead run for the Pirates in the 9th inning? If anything, he should have gotten a “blown save”! If it wasn’t for Hart, the Brewers would have lost.
Axford gave up a run in the 9th on Sat. as well.
Is it me?
or is Axford starting to go into a slump? Hopefully some rest over the All Star break will help him out. I was actually hoping it was Hoffman that would go in the 9th today, because yes, I remember Axford doing it on Saturday as well.

he was in line for a loss
hart bailed him out.
who should have gotten a W? there’s a reason he’s LVP, but still got the W.

Hart
If no one else will come out and say it, I will… Corey Hart’s appendix was holding him back.

I was disappointed with the lack of hookers but the pancakes were delightful
David Earl Nelson
While I have no doubt that it has been said in numerous game threads, today is the first day that I have listened to a whole game on the radio and all I have to say is “Davey Nelson SUCKS”.
I figure that Doug Melvin not only doesn’t like making mid-season managerial moves, but also doesn’t like making mid-season broadcasting moves.
There is no reason that Davey is on the radio. He is horrible. He was bad on TV for the post game show and putting him in Uecker’s chair was a huge mistake. He left Cory Provus hanging a few times, left no doubt how much he loves the bunt/sacrifice, and his thoughts on baseball reminded me of my 5 year old talking Star Wars – all over the place and contradicted himself at every turn.
Seriously Doug – let Cory do the broadcast by himself – please

My bet is Mark A or Rick Schlesinger (sp?) makes that call

My bet is that neither of them do.
Shruggity.

I have to agree.
I listen to almost every game over the radio either at work or driving. He’s awful.
My goodness.

Agreed.
Every time he speaks, it sounds like he’s just been thinking, “Oh crap, does this mean I actually have to say something right now?”
