Visiting Team
Hey Folks,
I'm a Yankee fan hoping to go to a Brewers game for the first time next weekend. And I was hoping you had some advice on where to sit and bars and restuarants to hit. Before you answer go to Hell, I have to tell you I'm not that type of Yankee fan (I admit, there are many). I always help visitors to NYC - even Red Sox fans. I'm trying to see every ballpark, and I hear you guys have a great one!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure which day you're looking at
but if my rotation calculations are right, Strasburg would pitch Friday?
Yeah, he pitches today.
5 days later will be Wednesday against the Reds. He would miss the Brewers series, and then pitch again on Tuesday (after their Monday off-day) against the Braves.

Ah, I didn't see he was on today
I was counting from his last start, the 9th.

as I've said in every thread that comes up
The Brewers will be facing Martin, Atilano and Stammen, unless one of those three ends up DL’ed or demoted. Hopefully they can pound on those dudes but I’ve got my doubts.
As I tell every visitor who stops by asking where to eat, etc.
go to Leon’s. Its a couple miles south of Miller Park and its delicious. It’s not really a restaurant or anything, it’s just a little custard stand where you eat outside by your car.
Custard, by the way, is the more delicious version of ice cream.
As far as where to sit, there really isn’t a bad view in Miller Park. I always sit in the upper level and it’s just fine for me. The lower level is decently priced, especially the outfield seats.
My goodness.
Leons rocks was the place that Arnolds from Happy Days was based on
Even though Leons has no inside seating.
"It's a joke. It's all a joke.
sure it wasn't the old outdoor seating area that used to be at Kopps (glendale/WFB?)
then again, I’ve not watched much of Happy days (or Laverne and Shirley, or Mork and Mindy, etc)

I've heard too
That Arnold’s was based on Leon’s.
My goodness.

I heard differently
There was a custard stand on Layton Ave just east of Howell across from the Airport called ‘Jessicas’. I remember when they tore it down that the news portrayed it as the inspiration for Arnolds.

You're both wrong...
Pags has it right.
From Wiki:
“The Milky Way Drive-In, located on Port Washington Road in the North Shore suburb of Glendale, now Kopps, was the inspiration for the original Arnold’s Drive-In; it has since been demolished. The exterior of Arnold’s was a “dressed” area on the Paramount Studios lot, that has since been demolished, very close to Stage 19, where the rest of the show’s sets were located."
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
that being said
a) wiki could be wrong and
b) I loved that outdoor seating area. I was very disappointed when they took it out to add about 5 parking spaces and another way to get from the front to the back lot.

Yeah, but those 5 spots are huge, not only for their business, but for keeping traffic flowing smoothly
on Port Road

meh
you can still go behind the fedex/kinkos (or is it a bar now on the corner?) and get access to a traffic light which is >> than trying to cross Port to go north. And it’s to the south, so doesn’t slow you down at all if your destination is to the S.

And you can take canal st. to Miller Park.
That doesn’t mean everyone does it.

Jessica's
Oh, the memories. I used to go to that place all the time with my grandma. The only thing I ever ordered was a hot dog and root beer.
My goodness.

What's the consensus on the Safehouse?
I’m thinking about going there, but everything I read says the atmosphere rules and the food sucks.

Atmosphe rocks
Food is okay – but you don’t go there for the food. You go there for the atmosphere and spy crap

And if you're going with friends...
Tell them you’re going to use the pay phone and have them meet you outside. :)

Thank Youze
Hey Guys,
I appreciate all the tips. I can’t wait. 4 day work week, then a game at Wrigley on Friday and Miller Park on Saturday! Two more notches in the ballpark quest, but still a loooong way to go.
Thanks again
