Nothing personal
But you Doug Melvin loyalists are smoking something potent.

Just like Doug before he makes a move
I was disappointed with the lack of hookers but the pancakes were delightful
I keep marking Undecided
because I’m waiting to see what happens at the trade deadline. Call it my Reds series.

That's my philosophy too
Next week there should be no more “undecideds” for that question.
Towlieppan: "You wanna throw high?"
He lost me at Randy Wolf
I do like that many of the people who liked it at the time aren’t changing their approval of the signing since he has sucked.

I agree with the signing for three years - which is what the question asked
I do not agree with paying that much for a guy who I thought would be able to be a decent number 3 starter. It was unfortunate that he was pushed into the #2.

I will wait to see what we get for Fielder and or Hart before passing judgment on Melvin.
Mainly because I can’t believe how bad guys like Wolf have been this year when looking back at the FA market at the time I can’t help but say it was the right move… who knew he would be so bad. Sure not as good as he was last year but he was still prolly the 2nd best FA pitcher and we actually went and got him…
That said I hope they wait till the off season. I just don’t see us getting as much value with only one or two teams making offers. I would rather see what we get in an off season when we might have 5 or so teams seriously interested in Fielder.
ME!
I KNEW! (I thought he would be ok this year)

Doug Melvin
Doug Melvin is the biggest failure of all time, the people that don’t see that are either lacking in common sense or not real baseball fans!
Couldn't have said it better myself
FEAR THE DEER!!! but not til next year =(

I can see undecided
but how are Melvin and Peterson getting yes votes?

perhaps they are voting themselves
or their mothers are

Undecided on Melvin makes perfect sense
but I’d like to know the reasons people are viewing either favorably.
Loyalty
Brewers were bad for a long time. Melvin got here and they became good again. I would guess that gives him a pretty long leash with some fans.
Personally, I’m surprised there aren’t more undecided. This trade deadline is pretty big for the future of the organization.
Get a ife broseph
I voted Undecided but I can sort of see voting Yes
I’m glad that Melvin is asking as much as he can for Hart/Fielder (assuming this poll is meant to reflect recent performance), or at least seems to be.
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

I voted yes on Peterson
I think his job is to keep the pitchers on the team healthy, mechanically correct and pitching smart. Health has been pretty good for the staff overall. As for performing well, I don’t think he should be blamed too much. Putting low-strikeout guys in front of a horrible defense is not a recipe for success. Upgrade the defense and suddenly he’ll look like a genius. I think he’s done fine keeping his pitchers with good mechanics and varying their pitch selection.
I like his organizational philosophy and it’s worth giving him an extended look to find out if it works. With the abysmal record of the Brewers at developing pitchers, something different needed to be done.
Melvin is definitely up for debate at this point.
