Jenkins to retire as a Brewer
He'll be around for the day on Friday, and will throw out the first pitch against the Pirates.

I am pleased
He was one of the only bright spots for a long time
Too close for missiles, I’m switching to Ueck.
Any chance we retire number 5? No one is using it right now. Jenks is second on the list of all time brewer home runs. The guy at number one has his number retired.
The guy at number one is in the HOF and as much as I love him I don't think Jenks deserves his number retired.
Only counting time as Brewers
Cooper: .302/.339/.470, 201 HR
Oglivie: .277/.345/.461, 176 HR
Thomas: .230/.325/.461 208 HR
Jenkins: .277/.347/.496 212 HR
It’s close, but I think Jenkins is the most deserving.

I think if you era-adjust those numbers, you'll find it's not close.
Jenkins was a good Brewer for a fair amount of time, but I think his comps are closer to Greg Vaughn and Jeromy Burnitz than any of the three you listed.
Now that's great tasting chicken!
For anyone who's still around
I’m working on a pretty cool project for after the game, so you’ll want to stick around for that.
Now that's great tasting chicken!
