Gamel to Play More RF & 1B
He will still primarily play at third base but will see more time at first base and in right field. Brett Lawrie has also started to practice at third base and in the outfield.
Gamel played his first game in RF last night.

Andy Van Hekken is starting against them. If he is known at all, it is for making five September starts for the 2002 Tigers (55-106) and then not being good enough to get time with the 2003 Tigers (43-119).

This... is a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball.
it means they expect him to be gone by the start of 2012 at least
not really a huge logical leap.
They can bury Gamel in AAA for another season if they need to.
