It's curious to me...
… that Gamel continues to get time in RF. I could speculate on what that might mean, but I don’t want to get yelled at again.

its sorta obvious, theyre preparing for the departure of Fielder and will move either Hart or Gamel to 1B, and whoever moves to 1B the other goes to RF.
I agree with this thought
But why not make the decision now?
Gamel playing right just makes me think they plan on moving Hart.

That's speculation about something you know nothing about.

the return now <<<<<< the return in november on trading fielder. there is no rush to move him now that the deadline passed.
why would they trade hart who they just locked up for 3 years, when prince is basically priced out of the brewers market by Boras comparing him to Texeria? they’re not keeping prince, no matter what they do with Hart or Gamel.
Not saying that I think it's likely...
… but maybe they don’t think Hart can sustain his success this season over the long haul and they extended him to increase his trade value.
Yeah, I don’t buy that either. Which is why I’m surprised Gamel’s still playing in RF. Hart’s going to be here. So are Cain and Gomez. Gamel’s as blocked in RF as he is at 3B unless they’re planning on moving Hart to 1st. Moving Hart to get Gamel into RF next year means you’ve got 2 guys playing positions they haven’t played in years (or much at all) instead of 1, and I don’t really get that…
… unless they’ve given up on fixing Gamel’s throws and they think even the toss to the pitcher or throws to second that come with 1B are too much to ask of him. Or because they’re planning on marketing Gamel as a corner OF this offseason as Supertramp suggested. Out of all those scenarios, that last one seems the most likely to me. I’m not happy about that, but it makes some sense.

Not that I think a Hart to first move is likely,
But I don’t think it’s a big deal for players to pick up RF or 1B in the offseason. That shouldn’t be a factor in evaluating the feasibility of such a switch.
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
I should have been more explicit

Moving Hart to first would be excellent
His knees aren’t going to last forever, big guys break down faster even if they stay trim.
His knees just need to last 3 more years
Mark A’s recent comments about shying away from FA pitching and the comments from the Org that seem indicate they are frustrated with Gamel really lead me to believe he’ll be traded in the offseason. We’ll see.

You guys are forgetting
That not only is he a man, but he is part goat. Who’s to say he doesn’t have the knees of a mountain goat. They live there entire lives climbing sheer cliff faces and I haven’t heard one story of a mountain goat requiring knee replacement. The must have knees touched by the Deity himself.

He's not THAT big.
he’s small by NBA standards, and the guards and forwards don’t have bad knees by 30.

I’ve heard some preliminary studies have shown pink-eye has some knee rejuvenating side-effects.

Why would they move Hart now?
Because he’s got cost certainty for the next 3 years and he’s having a career year?
If moving him at the trade deadline would have been the best idea, the second best would be moving him in the off season.

Lamontagne
McCalvy mentioned in a tweet that the Org is pretty high on him and he’s off to a pretty good start in his transition to a starter. Someone to keep an eye on.

Not Tony Gwynn Jr.

I think he was a free agent signing out of Wossamotta U.
Maybe he should play first base instead. That is, he should lie out there and we can step on him when we get a hit.

I'm glad Braun is finally resting
I’d wager his wrist strain is partly the product of compensating for an elbow that’s still bothering him.
something that i found on baseball prospectus that could point out what's wrong with arnett:
The first thing to understand for context is that the Kane County offense, which in all fairness has been beset by injuries, is downright horrendous. In its 10 games, Kane County has managed just 17 runs, while batting .186. That’s why Arnett’s line looked good, as opposed to his actual ability. Last year at Indiana University, Arnett’s fastball sat at 91-94 mph while touching 96; last night, he was 89-91 with a couple of 92s and 93s thrown in. His 81-mph slider had good, albeit a bit slow, break, and much of the problem has been with Arnett’s mechanics. He’s anything but direct to the plate, as his leg kick comes around in a semi-circular motion, bringing his body with it. This causes him to lose leverage and creates inconsistent landing points. His command and control suffered as well, with the free-swinging Cougars bailing him out of several jams. It was difficult to watch at times, as Arnett was clearly frustrated on the mound, slamming his glove into return throws by the catcher, stepping off the mound and looking at the sky at times, and just pitching with anger. It’s far too early to make a judgment call here, but he hasn’t been right all year, and it’s certainly a concern. It’s not like his stuff isn’t good, it’s just not as advertised, and one has to wonder if a move to the bullpen, where he could tick up the velo on both his fastball and slider, isn’t the answer if his struggles in the rotation continue.
"stepping off the mound and looking at the sky at times"
What, is he having an existential crisis out there?
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
If he turns into Manny Parra
I am going drive up to Appleton and kick his ass.
Then again I could put KL on it, and save myself the trip.
