Some good news
Gamel went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk. Now hitting .319/.392/.501/.893 in AAA this season.
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Dave Bush
4 HR on 10 pitches…Wow…
"The Milwaukee Brewers' line score is starting to resemble an international phone number" - Pittsburgh Pirates Radio during 20-0 shutout - 4-22-10
Each bad outing by Bush
makes it more likely we’ll re-sign him after the season.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
Ugh, I hope not
The problem is that it’s really easy to identify who we don’t want, but somebody’s got to pitch. If we had any good options I don’t think he’d be pitching right now (and neither would Narv or Manny). We’ve got one top-line starter, a #4 or 5, and a bunch of filler. Sadly, we only let Bush go if we have better options. I hope we have better options…
I say
They should call up some minor leaguers… Really couldn’t be any worse.
Goooooo-mez!

Disagreed
It could be much, much worse.
The starters in Nashville:
Wright: 4.87 ERA, 1.464 WHIP
Lofgren: 5.15 ERA, 1.568 WHIP
Waters: 4.40 ERA, 1.495 WHIP
Narron: 3.93 ERA, 1.377 WHIP
Those numbers are a little better than what most of our rotation is doing… but it’s also against minor league hitters.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
Like who?
Best pitcher in Huntsville is Rivas… but again, it’s only against AA hitting too.
Rivas is someone they have pretty high hopes on, so I doubt if they’re going to rush him. This is his first season in Double-A. I think they’ll want to see how he does against Triple-A hitters before considering bringing him up.
