SBNation Coverage
Whatever Casey McGehee has been doing lately, hopefully he'll keep it up the next few years. The man fell just a triple shy of the cycle as he went 4-4 today while scoring three runs and driving in three. His perfect day now puts him at nine hits in nine consecutive at-bats. Pags informed us in the comments section of the game thread that the MLB record for hits in consecutive at-bats is 12, so tomorrows game will hopefully contain some excitement in that regard.
Randy Wolf had onebadinningitis today, otherwise he pitched fairly well. He gave up 4 runs in the fourth inning, including a three run homer to Stephen Drew. John Axford came in for a 1.2 inning save, but got into some trouble in the ninth inning. He loaded the bases with just one out, but induced a game ending double play for his seventeenth save.

Why not two saves for Ax?
One for the game and one for saving ZB’s butt?

Personally I miss sense
Maybe he should play first base instead. That is, he should lie out there and we can step on him when we get a hit.
