Hire Ryne Sandberg
So I was listening to an interview with Ryne Sandberg on a local LA sports talk show where he was very frank about wanting a job in the bigs, and not necessarily the Cubs. A young manager is exactly what the Brewers need. Let's face it, grandpa Macha has killed the spirit of this team. Plus, it would really stick in the craw of all those northsiders and man that would be sweet.

Although it feels a little bit wrong...
it would be fun to do it to spite Cub’s fans. Not saying thats a reason in itself, but a nice bonus
Let the Cubs have Ryne Sandberg
The Brewers can hire Dave Martinez, Tampa Bay bench coach. That would be sure to rankle Sandberg.
Who cares?
By young I mean a manager who is excited by the gig. Not someone who looks like coming to the ballpark is an interruption of nap time. But, really I just want to get the goat, as it were of Cub fans.
"It felt great," he said. "It really did. I wanted to go back out there for the eighth. It's good to be a part of it."-Axford

That being said, it’s one thing to be excited. Heck, I’d be excited to be managing the Brewers… but am I qualified… not at all.
What kind of coaching/managing experience has Sandberg had?
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
Thanks Wikipedia
“:After the 2006 season, Sandberg was named manager of the Class-A Peoria Chiefs in the Midwest League. Following two seasons with Peoria, Sandberg was promoted to manager of the Double-A Tennessee Smokies, and the next year was named manager of the Triple-A Iowa Cubs.”

Wikipedia doesn’t say it, but I thought I read somewhere that he’s won at each stop in the minor leagues (for whatever that’s worth)
He's also quoted as saying his dream job would be to manage the Cubs.
Coincidentally, there happens to be an opening after this season.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
"won at each stop"... not really true
2007
He managed the Peoria Chiefs (Cubs’ Single-A team) to a 71-68 record (tied for 4th).
2008
He managed the Chiefs to a 60-78 record (7th place).
2009
He manged the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs’ Double-A team) to a 71-69 record. They made it to the finals, but lost.
2010
He is managing the Iowa Cubs (Cubs’ Triple-A team) with a 75-57 record (currently first place).

won at each stop
maybe they got a win against every opposing team at least once. he certainly had a win overall each season:P

He had a winning record at each stop along the way
and 3 years out of 4, including having his current team in first place. Again, its the minor leagues, so it probably doesn’t mean a whole lot, but he has been the managing of winning teams at each level of the minors.
and Macha had winning seasons in every single season until he came to the Brewers. Winning and losing is a product of the team and has very little to do with the manager.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
Yes, I agree
and I already conceded that it doesn’t mean much of anything, I was just defending its truth as a statement of fact. At no point did I say that it meant anything, just that it was an interesting note about his managerial career thus far.
Will he be a good manager, or are we just trying to piss off the Cubs fans?
He moved through the minors (managing) quickly, but how much of that was because of his talent, and how much was because of his name?

That would open the door for my Marlon Byrd plan
not that that would help the Brewers, but it’s a good plan.
