They keep talking about limiting Narveson's innings
And considering he’s been comparable to Parra this year, with peripherals suggesting a lower ERA than he as actually put up, I wouldn’t have minded him getting the bump to the pen. Can’t complain too much, Parra’s been terrible, and there’s an argument to be made that Capuano should get a shot here. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Parra back in the rotation later in September if they shut down Narveson and Parra has some success in the pen.
E: George 4 (5, throw, throw, throw, throw).
Fuck it.
Shut down Gallardo in September and have Narvey, Cappy, and Parr….a…y? compete for one rotation spot for next year.

According to BA and Rock
He asked to moved back to the bullpen. Then they made some ridiculous comparison to JC Romero how he could fill the “power lefty” role. They said the Organization had no intention of moving him to the pen until he asked and were caught completely off guard by the request
He pitched very well in the pen
and perhaps that’s where he’ll be successful with the Brewers
I was disappointed with the lack of hookers but the pancakes were delightful
FAIL
Have they looked at Parra’s numbers against leftys? Typically a power lefty can get people out. (I know I posted this elsewhere, but it might be better here)
Left handed hitters have a .358 Average and a 1.059 OPS against him!
For reference the following players have these numbers for their careers:
ARod’s: .303 /.958
Lord Pujols’: .332 /1.051
Braun: .306/.914

FINALLY
With every start that Manny would make, I would dread it. Now lets just hope that Cappy can continue his success that he had in the ’pen.
Facts are stubborn things, but statistics are more pliable. ~Mark Twain
That's somewhat disingenuous
He went 3.2 on 85 pitches in his first start. Not good. In his second start, he went 5.0 IP on 65 pitches.
His limited pitch count is what prevented him from going deeper into the game.
what the other guy said
He didn’t get hammered like he did in ‘07, or like the rest of this year’s rotation has, which is better than I had expected. He did need to be stretched out and used more.
Just wondering where you got the 4.1 innings from when its a pretty easy thing to do to look up the stats from Cappy’s starts.
