I think it means they can trade him to anyone since he cleared waivers

yet the timing doesn't make sense

Teams can still pick him up, like we did with Coffey back in ‘08, to save some of the strain on their pen or rotation for this last month or give them an edge. But he can’t be added to their playoff roster unless activated TODAY by the receiving team.

And he’s in the last year of his current contract, so it’s not like other teams would get a couple more years out of Dave Bush. I think he does have an arbitration year left, so there’s that at least.

It doesn’t signal that they’re dumping him. He can pitch for the brewers for the rest of the season, while still being passed through waivers. So, if you don’t see anything, it won’t disprove this news report.

I was referring to the speculation that he is being traded or demoted. The last time there was post about Bush it was that he was removed from the 40 man. You don’t have to bit my head off dude.

At this time of year, yeah, almost everyone on the roster gets put on waivers. Mostly to see if there is any interest out there. We just had a rumor that Bush was being released off the 40 man, and the above posters were talking about a trade. That’s what my post was in response to. Bush clearing waivers isn’t a news story. It’s what happens every year with every team.
