AAA Brewers headed to Oklahoma City
Link via the Austin American-Statesman, down at the very bottom. I read the print edition this morning, and it wasn't in there - must have just been added late today.

Bummer.
No idea about the park or team or anything, but that’s a pretty long slide down the “cool cities” list from Nashville to Oklahoma City.
More importantly
We’d lose the mirrored relationship with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals (the minor league hockey partner of the Nashville Predators).
C. Magruder scored, R. Weeks to second on balk
motivation
this should make our minor leaguers more motivated so they don’t have to spend any time in a crappy city.
"I've been banging a lot of bratwurst lately".
Uecker during the 8th inning of his first game back
Doesn't Indy have a AAA team
That would be motivation

Indianapolis was the Brewers AAA affiliate before Nashville
Maybe he should play first base instead. That is, he should lie out there and we can step on him when we get a hit.
Not a done deal
The text in the link above is:
Milwaukee, currently the parent club for Nashville, is expected to take over the vacant spot in Oklahoma City.
“Is expected” doesn’t mean it’s confirmed…….in my ind, anyway :)

You're right
But we’re totally free to treat rumors and speculation as news here. You’ve seen this place around the trade deadline, right? :-)

Nevermind...
I found the answer at the end of that article…
The Round Rock Express are expected to announce an affiliation switch from the Houston Astros to the Texas Rangers on Sept. 16. The move means Round Rock will become Texas’ Triple-A contingent, absorbing all of the Rangers’ top minor league players, coaches and staff members for the 2011 season. Oklahoma City has served as Texas’ feeder team since 1983.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
"...absorbing all of the Rangers’ top minor league players..."
Shoot, I thought they would forget some.
Maybe he should play first base instead. That is, he should lie out there and we can step on him when we get a hit.
