Heavens to betsy! I wasn't even paying attention.  What's going on here? First base is open, right? Normally I just walk down there.

"Um, Hello Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero. You must be new here.  I'm MVP candidate Prince Fielder- first base, Milwaukee Brewers. You must be confusing me with someone who hasn't hit 38 home runs this year.  Three of them no more than 2 games ago. 120RBI. There's a runner in scoring position. You should walk me."

No? Wow, You'll have to give me a second here. You've got me questioning my whole worldview. You're not going to walk me - even unintentionally? I know pitching around batters is not something that your manager is wont to do, but if not now, then when should a batter be walked? And if not I, then who should be walked thusly? I mean, Yuniesky Betancourt has been intentionally walked! Three times this year! Has the world gone mad! I fear for our children.  But I digress- where were we?
