FanGraphs should consider a venue for a Gallery Night... they could even serve a cake with a Win Expectancy Chart of the 7/7/11 Brewers' game etched in the frosting, and 7-up. Oh, yeah - and t-shirts that say "SABR-Friday." I'm totally there.

I have finally been able to find one good thing about the Brewers not making the World Series

I have been insanely busy at work over the last two weeks. Had the Brewers been in the World Series, I would have had to miss most of the games because I was working late.

Rams and Blues coverage was okay...

But as soon as they start to talk about Cardinals’ baseball, the fortress goes up. They isolate themselves against the rest of the nation. It is like they think no one else pays attention to them. Idk it was just weird.

I can't see how the Rangers will win.

with a bullpen that’s got nerves of 250 year old glass. They’re gonna have to blow up the cardinals and have a 5+run lead going into the 9th. I envision a very loose Cardinals team playing with house money and arrogantly unveiling a World Series Banner against Milwaukee next year, rubbing salt, dirt, and herpes in old wounds.

by Nels Winkler on Oct 28, 2011 12:50 AM CDT reply actions

wither way

those arrogant pieces of shit are gonna have at least one banner to unveil against the Brewers. Who made the damn schedule anyways? Why did they feel obligated to throw the Brewers under the bus like that. We lost, why add the humiliation of opening at those asshole’s house next year? It just cements my mind that MLB has an agenda and didn’t want the Brewers to advance.
All the questionable calls, Gallardo getting squeezed for a month straight, all of our pitchers getting squeezed in the playoffs, and the way the announcers just gobbed on Arizona all series long.
I still get angry when I think of Dotel v Braun. First pitch low and away, ball. Second pitch, around Braun’s ankles, strike. Third pitch, slightly higher but still a strike. I mean seriously. that at bat should have started 3-0.
And all those times we got pinched with 2 outs on what should have been strike 3, only to give up a crucial rbi hit. if the game was called evenly, we would be in the Series, I’ve no doubts.
