Diamondbacks 10, Brewers 6: Tonight's Turning Points

Tonight's highlights are not for the faint of heart.

1) Ryan Roberts' first inning grand slam: -.331 WPA (Video)

The Brewers were one out away from getting out of the inning unscathed in the first and had gotten past Paul Goldschmidt in the lineup, but Ryan Roberts got a fat pitch and took it deep to give Arizona a 4-1 lead.

2) Colin Cowgill's third inning single: -.114 WPA (Video)

The Brewers had closed the game to two at 5-3 and had two outs in the third inning when Cowgill came up to the plate as a pinch hitter with two on and two outs in the inning. He hit a chopper that got through the left side of the Brewer infield and more or less iced the game as two runs scored.

3) Jerry Hairston Jr's third inning double: +.111 WPA

The Brewers had an opportunity to put together a big inning in the third, as Corey Hart walked to lead off the inning and was driven home by Hairston's double to bring the Crew back within two. Unfortunately after Ryan Braun walked the next three Brewers were retired in order to end the threat.

4) Ryan Braun's first inning double:  +.110 WPA (Video)

The Brewers scored the game's first run in their first opportunity, as Jerry Hairston Jr singled and scored on Ryan Braun's double to center.

5) Rickie Weeks' GIDP to end the first: -.103 WPA

After Braun's first inning double the Brewers had a man on second with one out. Prince Fielder walked and Braun stole third, but Rickie Weeks grounded into an inning-ending 5-4-3 double play.
