Majority Of Milwaukee Brewers Tracking Poll Voters Favor Extension For Greinke, But Not For Others
This week's poll was open from Monday at noon through Tuesday, and received 230 responses. Here are some of the notable results:
- 83% of voters think the Brewers should offer a long term extension to Zack Greinke, while 43% or less favor extensions for John Axford, Jonathan Lucroy, Shaun Marcum, Nyjer Morgan and Chris Narveson.
- 69% of voters think the Brewers made the right decision by not matching or exceeding the two year, $10.5 million contract Clint Barmes got from the Pirates. 20% think they should have made a competitive offer.
- The vote is split on where the Brewers go from here in the shortstop market. 26% of voters think the Brewers should shift their attention to Rafael Furcal, but six other options received between 3 and 25% of the vote.

That was my thought too.
I like questions like those to let us know what the margin for error on the rest of the poll might be.
This is where I'm allowed to be emotional, right?
I voted ‘Jose Reyes’ because I really want them to go out and get him. I know, rationally, that there is between 0 and 1% chance that they sign him. But I still want them to, and to hell with payroll.
Sigh.

How good or bad is the SS at Nashville?
I looked at his numbers and it appeared he hit over .300 I know nothing about the Sounds but is he an option is our farm system that devoid of talent that we cannot bring someone up?
Just wondering I know we have traded a fair share of our minor league talent away over the years but a bucket of balls has to be a better option at SS than Yuni

With minus defense. He’s really not an upgrade.
