I wonder if the results for the Gonzalez question would change
if the terms of his contract were known before the poll went out.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
There might need to be another tracking poll next week.
Just to ask some of the following questions:
- Now that the terms of Gonzalez’s contract are out, do you agree with the decision to sign him?
- Do you agree with the decision to sign Aramis Ramirez?
- Do you agree with the decision to trade Casey McGehee?
- Do you agree with the decision to acquire Jose Veras?
- The Diamondbacks signed Takashi Saito for 1 year at $1.75 million. How should the Brewers have handled this situation?
- How do you feel about the media coverage of the ongoing process with Ryan Braun?

I keep a notepad file open on my computer most of the time, and one of the things I always have on it is a list of pending tracking poll questions.
During the offseason if I don’t have enough, I skip a week.
I’ve already got most of a poll for next week.
Now that's great tasting chicken!

That's smart
That’s why you get paid the big bucks to do this.

The A-Ram Deal
For responses, I would be interested if you broke it down something similar to…
A) Deal Sucks
B) Ok with the 3-year term but think we overpaid
C) Ok with $12M per year average but should have signed to a longer contract
D) Ok with $12M per year average but should have signed to a shorter contract
E) Deal is okay and fair for all
D) My spreadsheets show that A-Ram will only product 2.187595 wins in 2012 and 2.025896 wins in 2013 and given the current value of third basemen is only worth $6M/year or a combination of a C- prospect and 2 low-A rooster fillers – Go Giants

What's a low-A rooster filler?
Is that something that fast food restaurants put into their poultry to stretch it out?

Wait, what formulas are you using?
I’m showing 2.187403 wins in 2012.

I'd be interested to see how many people think the team should have signed Saito to a contract worth more money or years than the D'Backs.

Punto just signed with the Red Sox for $3M with incentives
So I guess I’m not too broken about Gonzalez getting more than that. Ya, we can all wish it was less but if that’s the market I’d rather they over pay for Gonzalez than pay whatever Betancourt’s market value is.
Negative nellies, all of you.
Braun’s clean, you’ll see.
Mark Attanasio is the best.

62% of us are willing to accept the possibility
But we’ll wait until we know for sure.

Nice job

Rubie is going to take away recs from nullacct. How will null feed his family without those recs?
Braun would never wear that tie!

I think just the opposite
The fact that two independant sources confirmed a positive, it does not look good at all for him.
May not have been intentional, or not even a PED, but he has a monster hill to climb to get out of it.
Looks like he is going to put up a OJ defense and team to beat this, problem is he wont have an OJ jury debating the merits.
The only independent source is the WADA
and they ban people for taking anti-balding medications that don’t even mask PED use.

I then went back and expected to see Rubie’s face on the DVD cover.

Here's a bargaining question
Would Braun be more upset with a positive PED test, or people knowing he took an anti balding agent?
Or an anti-herpes medication
