But you've only been here for 2 or 3 days!
Did you make sure to set them to wide-screen view? Nullacct is a legend.
(I’m not mad, and I hope I don’t come across that way. Actually, I’m amused, looking at this).
FanGraphs should consider a venue for a Gallery Night... they could even serve a cake with a Win Expectancy Chart of the 7/7/11 Brewers' game etched in the frosting, and 7-up. Oh, yeah - and t-shirts that say "SABR-Friday." I'm totally there.

Sorry; I was just curious, and I thought it said you joined on the 17th.
I mean no harm!
btw – have you been over at the Royals Review site? They are quite disturbed over the Betancourt signing.

I think the Royals fans got trolled hard by the FO.
I’m very amused by all this.
Go ahead, make my day.

Trolled by whom? Not sure if you mean front office..
They got Dayton’d, though. That’s for sure.

Aghhhh! I'm wearing my glasses, too. No excuses.
I guess I’m still somewhat new (less than 6 months). Otherwise, I’d know who you were!

nah, that's ok
I only wish it took as long for you to type that as it did to draw them.

After the victory, Kansas City wanted its equilibrium back, so the Royals solved it by signing Yuni.

This is the first MLB signing that actually made me laugh out loud. Royals fans, you have my condolences, and as a Brewer fan, my thanks.
As a KC fan, ...
…I can tell you that this hurts and sucks—-or is it sucks and blows? Whichever, it’s awful.

Seriously, this is a slap in the face to the fans.
For 27 teams, he’d just be a shitty signing.

It's because
he’s the best at cutting utility bills. With him on the team, the stadium uses less water, less gas, less electricity… almost like there’s noone there.
And now...

...Randy Wolf doesn't have to turn himself into Ron Howard.
I’m not really sure why he did that, but it had something to do with Betancourt.

I can't believe somebody actually signed him.
Especially a team that has already seen him. Especially to a major league contract.

I never thought the day would come when Yuni would accept a secondary role.
He’s always had the gift of front-office hypnosis in Seattle, KC and Milwaukee, where he could trick people into letting him average about 150 starts per year.

2012 season isn't over yet.
He may get quite a few starts now that he can supposedly play multiple positions.
Ditto.
He was horrible.

And it's not even for the league minimum...
$2M… plus an additional $500K if he meets the playing time bonus.

Out of curiosity
Would he play DH at all?

I think the Royals are trying to replace the void left by Neifi Pérez 2000-2001
Missing, still, is the .303 SLG. Yuni slugged just a few notches below .400
And then there was Tony Peña, and no one could replace his production.
Alcides is special, because he was part of the Greinke trade, and maybe he’ll decide he doesn’t want to use a wet paper bag for his bat.
*Nothing beats the Tigers line-up last year when they were in the playoffs . . . I think 6 players had obps between .280 and .290
I’m going to eat my grilled cheese and alphabet soup now.

LOL @ "wet paper bag"
Once the Brewers got rid of his one friend (CM), who was also his interpreter, it was all over.
Now he’ll sit on the bench in KC and eat ribs and watch Escobar play defense.

How is this not rec'd?
By signing with the Royals that means Melvin can’t sing him to a minor league contract and thus call him up later in the year. This is time for celebration.
The fact that his agent sold him as a “utility infielder” makes me wonder if he’s better than Scott Boras.

Hmmm..
I considered it a possibility that his silence had something to do with Braun, but then I realized there are a lot of other things he can report.
Plus, he’s got no obligation to make himself part of the ‘hush’ project. Unless . . . he’s been threatened by Victor Conte! Conte probably said Tom would be subject to the Tower of Power sessions he sat in on. Rocco Prestia was way better on the bass, and Conte played with a sub-par pick, not meant for bass.
1977 – Powerful Tower of Power
1973 (I know – it’s the studio recording!)
They had to be taking supplements and maybe sniffing things… I’ve got a lot of stories, but I’ve already done 1 fanpost and 2 fanshots. I met Victor briefly, believe it or not!

Random and awesome...
I’ve been a lurker now for years and this is my first post…but there’s no way I could let this go unappreciated. Brewers are great and so is Tower of Power. Just saw them at the Los Angeles County fair a few months back. Thier new lead singer is real good!!
Anyways…you put a lot of effort in that post!
He's probably actually pretty well suited to this role...
In saying that, I am glad we didn’t sign him, as RRR wouldn’t be able to help himself.
I wouldn't mind him as a PH
if there was no possible way that he’d be a full time starter…
"I'm here to talk about the economy today -- about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance. That wasn't another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it's not."
He had his moments as a hitter
if he was a cheap bat of the bench I’d be happy with him. It’s just that his defense is awful and his hitting is too inconsistent to start.

If he’s regulated to the bench, you never know what he’s going to do at the plate.

Good luck in KC, Yuni.
I’m not going to engage in any Yuni kicking on the way out. After all, Yuni doesn’t kill teams, people who think Yuni is a starting shortstop kill teams.

Buh bye YunE.
We won’t miss your “defense.”
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
So....
Who becomes the new common enemy among the Brewers for BCB posters?
Let’s look at last year’s biggest goats:
Betancourt – FA, went to KC
Kotsay – FA, went to San Diego
McGehee – Traded to Pittsburgh
Who’s next up? My guess is Loe or Parra among pitchers. Marcum might have a chance to fill it if he doesn’t start strong. Among position players, I’m guessing Gamel (maybe)? There’s already some resentment towards him.

After he starts a playoff game in CF.
I'm sure a new challenger will emerge

This is kind of why I hope our payroll is tapped.
I’d rather RRR be forced to play the young guys than give him a veteran option to run out 5 days a week.
A fond goodbye, Yuni. For without you, I will no longer get to use this gif.
