Greinke approached Melvin about 5 year extension
As much as I have not been a fan of the guy, it's nice to see someone come to Milwaukee and decide he wants to stay for the majority of his career. Just keep him off the pick-up basketball courts and I'll be cool.

Why not?
The guy put up terrific numbers in the second half of the season (although he hasn’t done very well in the playoffs). I’m all for a 1-2 punch of Gallardo and Greinke.
Go ahead, make my day.
Good to hear he likes Milwaukee, supposedly
After only one year, I’m a bit surprised someone would want to make a decision like that which doesn’t really have to be made for another 12 months or so.
I suppose there are some players that will always play better with a contract in hand instead of looming fee agency. Greinke tries hard enough as it is. I’d hate to see how much harder he tries when he has a free agency offseason hanging over his performance.
Agreed on the pick up basketball. Hopefully he doesn’t take up ultimate frisbee or something. Maybe Mark A should get that man some golf clubs and personal lessons from Steve Stricker.
Golf? He may strain his oblique! :O
Go ahead, make my day.

Great news except its coming from that source who I'm pretty sure just makes stuff up.
If Plush had to pick Wearwolf or Vampire, I'm a Wearwolf!

My ears are burning.
Also, the Brewers just signed Adam Heether to a $200 million contract.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
If that's for about 800 years, it could be a worthwhile signing $ / yr
I would’ve rather seen $200MM / 1600 years, but $200 MM / 800 won’t affect payroll too much.
While all of that makes sense.
It’s the source that I just don’t believe.
