Chris Dickerson (ribs), Logan Schafer (right thumb) sent for X-rays
Both left today's game with those injuries.
At the moment Ryan Braun, Jeremy Reed and Brandon Boggs are the only three healthy outfielders in camp. Erick Almonte and Mark Kotsay can also play a corner, and I'd expect to see them do so a couple of times in the next couple of days.

Apparently suffering from a sore back...
must be from all that extra batting practice.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
Nothing hurts quite like a batting practice swing-and-a-miss.
Applying Simpsons and Star Wars quotes to Brewers discussions since 2009.
And here we were eight months ago wondering why Escobar was getting time in the outfield
I never use a big word when a diminutive word would suffice.
so is braun going to be expected to play 9
or will they bring in a couple from minors camp by tomorrow?
They could pick up Brooks Kieschnik to play the last few innings,
And he could be our back up closer.
Hmm...
(Depending on how long Dickerson is out of action) I wonder if Boggs or Reed would start the season on the roster. I try not to put too much emphasis on ST stats, but Boggs and Reed seem to play playing pretty decent.
i've missed a week of bcb
…while at ST in arizona. i was at today’s game and boggs looked great at the plate and in the field. he did look horrible playing catch with wheeler before the game (1 ball bounced away from wheeler and into the just sprayed infield and another sailed over wheeler’s head, nearly hit a giants player throwing the ball around, and then rolled down to the outfield wall). but given how the game went, i’m now starting to think that’s as much on wheeler as boggs.

He went in for an MRI today on the knee he twisted yesterday.
So no, probably not available.
Now that's great tasting chicken!

I was out visiting family pretty much all weekend
Is Almonte still swinging the bat? I know Maysonet tried outfield last year in Spring Training so he’d at least be willing to try, as well. I’m still hoping these are all heavily preventative. There’s a part of me that just wants every starter, sans pitchers, to basically sit out until maybe the last three games at this point. A slightly rusty starting 8 > fresh starting 4 + hobbled 4
Sadness in Brewers camp. Does this mean the Brewers will be injury-free through the whole season? Is part of this managerial style? The players have been encouraged to report injuries or not play through any injuries a la Mark Prior? I imagine most of these injuries might not even get mentioned during the regular season and RR and his staff are just playing things extra safe.
