"He doesn't want Gamel in right field down there, which means Corey Hart would not be a future candidate to play first."
or figures if Gamel can’t play first base, he’s useless and will find someone else on the FA market to play either 1B or RF and slot Hart accordingly.

YES
Glad they finally gave up on 3B and gave him a position.
Time to mash AAA pitching and stay healthy.
Get a ife broseph
I'm glad they gave him every chance, though.
They say his range was pretty good at 3B, right? It would be interesting if he could become and above average defensive 1B in the coming years. It could add a lot of value as far as 1B go. There aren’t many 1B in baseball that can become emergency 3B in desperate circumstances.
I don't think any team would put Gamel in at 3B... even in an emergency.
Just like I don’t think the Brewers would even put Braun at 3B in an emergency.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
Sounds like they'll be bringing him up to DH for interleague though?
Weird. And how many options does he have remaining?
This is his last option year
They can send him up and down all year.
