Tough one this week...
Went with Rick over Estrada and Wolf, because he’s had an impact on more than one or two games. Braun’s continued to be phenomenal, but Rickie did something else very special and exciting: he shook off a hand injury and kept playing at an elite level. Plus, his defense has been superb in the games I watched.
Estrada

I think Braun will actually get there.
Maybe Weeks, but that’s a longshot. Even if Fielder keeps up a .315 pace for average, he’s going to be walked too many times to get to 200 hits.
Braun!
It’s gotta be Braun—or another position player—because the pitching has been pretty bad over the last week. They were a top-5 rotation before this week, but now they’ve dropped to #10 in the Rotation Rankings. This past week, the rotation compiled a lovely 6.29 ERA, including a 1.40 WHIP. That’s almost as bad as the Astros! Gallardo really has to get it in gear—and soon— because his 5.70 ERA is killing the Brew Crew. Check out the rankings:
Over the last week
Wolf and Estrada were not bad at all, which is why they are the only starters listed.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
