Dillard wasn't on the 40 man roster, so his callup will fill the last available space.

Still easing him back?
He’s only got about 10 IP this season. Maybe they’re still working him up to strength? That’s the only thing I can think of.

I’d assume Dillard (or DiFelice) is going to only be pitching if the game is out of hand, and needs to eat multiple innings or go back to back days.
Based on his work load this year, DiFelice doesn’t seem like he’s all the way there yet.
Plus, his rehab from injury might be better served in Nashville with a regular schedule than sporadic (if any) time on the MLB team.
