Fielder, Hart, Loe, Lucroy or Marcum: Who Will Be Brewer Of The Week?
Coming off a 6-0 week, the Brewers have lots of candidates for this week's award. Here are the nominees:
Prince Fielder hit .286/.429/.667 with two home runs this week and has reached base safely in ten straight games. His home run in the 14th inning won Friday's game against the Rockies.
Corey Hart hit .238/.304/.810 this week with four home runs. He became the first Brewer in eight years to hit three home runs in a game when he did it on Monday in what was also his first three hit game of the season.
Kameron Loe appeared in three games this week and pitched 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and no walks while striking out four. He's now gone 7.1 innings without allowing a run, and recorded his first major league save since 2005 on Wednesday.
Jonathan Lucroy hit .375/.375/..813 with two home runs this week, and his eighth inning single on Tuesday drove in the game-tying and winning runs in a 7-6 Brewer win.
Shaun Marcum pitched a season-high eight innings on Saturday, allowing just one run on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Tough decision for me.
I wouldn’t have voted Hart if I hadn’t been at the 3 homer game. Phenomenal to watch in person.
I agree
and Lucroy got points taken off for that creepy look he gave the camera when he copped a feel on Braun.
Do you mean Grienke?
Or is there another creepy feel copping pic featuring Braun?
(And I don’t mean this negatively, my morbid curiosity is interested)
Disagree.
I gave him bonus points for that.

Me too
yet when I congratulated a coworker the same way this week after a great PowerPoint presentation, I ended up in Human Resources. Go figure.

I hope you stared straight at the security camera when you did that.

Greinke, a man of few words
But many thoughts

Great job
Even funnier is Greinke mistaking Rivera for Parra. Hopefully Fielder didn’t make the same mistake.

Yeah, Rivera might fight back.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
Fight back against Prince Fielder? Not recommended.
Ryan Braun: He loves it. -- Four pitchers in history with 8.5+ WAR and <250 IP seasons: Greg Maddux (age 29), Pedro Martinez (age 28), Roger Clemens (age 27), Zack Greinke (age 25).
Hart
All the fireworks over those two games aren’t enough to make that week’s stat line worth voting for.
Lucory's slash line
is better in every stat…
