Fielder, Kintzler, Marcum, Weeks or Wolf: Who Will Be Brewer Of The Week?
This was a tough week for the Brewers, as they've gone 1-6 since last Friday. That makes it pretty hard to come up with five solid candidates for Brewer of the Week. With that said, not everyone has been terrible this week and a couple of Brewers have actually been pretty good. Here are this week's nominees:
Prince Fielder is only batting .192 this week, but three of his five hits have been home runs so he's slugging .577.
Brandon Kintzler made three relief appearances this week, including two multi-inning stints, and allowed just one earned run over four innings for a 2.25 ERA.
Shaun Marcum made two excellent starts this week, allowing just one run on eight hits over 14 innings (0.64 ERA). He's walked just three while striking out 14 over that span.
Rickie Weeks had a hit in six of the Brewers' seven games this week, including the only hit against Tim Hudson on Wednesday. He's hitting .280/.379/.400 on the week.
Randy Wolf allowed one run on just four hits over seven innings against the Astros on Saturday, walking two and striking out four.
I think the choice is pretty easy, but it's up to you.

I don't know who
But rumours have recently reached me that a certain Mr Garfield was seen furiously typing in an Internet Cafe about 30 minutes ago…

Garfield is hurt too!
Didn’t stop him from powering through and voting in the poll. Jake Odorizzi said he was the best ever at voting in internet polls
Get a ife broseph
We'll know for sure if suddenly Kintzler wins a few hours before the polling ends.

Marcum's just lucky Cameron Garfield wasn't listed.

Completely unrelated
But while doing a Google image search for “hanging chad”, this newspaper clipping came up that made my chuckle…

BTW
There’s one good reason why she didn’t get the car (actually, it’s more like two).

Damn
That reminds me of the time during my time in a newsagents where I went and bust my ass selling packs of Marlboro to win a competition. I even risked arrest hawking them to schoolkids only to find out that instead of the Fiat car I thought I was going to win I’d actually merely won a legally binding decision entered onto the court record. And don’t even dare remind me about that competition to win a Ford…

This reminds me of the time Craig Counsell was promised a toy Yoda for scoring the winning run of the world series, but the Marlins blindfolded him, led him to the parking lot and presented him with a dumb Toyota sports car.

Anyone who voted for Kintzler should be banned from the blog.
I don’t know where my irrational hatred of Brandon Kintzler comes from, but I can’t stand him. I want him gone. Maybe it’s because he looks like John Lackey.
I don't necessarily believe he deserves the best of the week.
But I voted for Wolf just because he deserves more votes than Kintzler.

You better get some help if you want that to happen
