The Thursday Off-Day Thinker: Sub-Yuni
Yuniesky Betancourt is going to enter play Friday with a .255 OBP. I shouldn't need to tell you that that's awful. However, I was surprised to discover that there are a few other players who have been that bad this season.
This season there are seven major leaguers who are currently qualified for the batting title with an OBP of .255 or lower. How many can you name in five minutes?
The rules remain the same: Post your score in the comments but do not comment on any specific answer until after 6 pm Central time, so everyone gets a chance to try it out without having it spoiled for them. And, of course, there's no reason to cheat here, because there aren't any prizes.
It's possible someone will get all of these. If it's you, post your time along with your score.
Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!

Got 4, and only that many because I cruised the worst wOBAs in the majors last week for that Yuni post
E: George 4 (5, throw, throw, throw, throw).
I had a slight advantage playing as much fantasy as I do
I got all 7. Lot of disappointments on that list
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Easy to know who the disappointments are when you drafted them.

I was astounded to see Pedro Alvarez wasn't on this list.
Ryan Braun: He loves it. -- Four pitchers in history with 8.5+ WAR and <250 IP seasons: Greg Maddux (age 29), Pedro Martinez (age 28), Roger Clemens (age 27), Zack Greinke (age 25).

Five
Missed Rios and Chris Johnson. It doesn’t totally make up for the horror that is seeing Yuni trot out to SS almost everyday for the Crew, but it softens the blow a little at least to know we’re not paying him Chone Figgins money or Dan Uggla’s money (although I bet Uggla recovers a little by season’s end).
Yikes
Lots money invested in some of the players on that list!
It did give me a good laugh to see one name on that list, who I will not name in order to avoid spoiling the quiz. Everyone should know who I am talking about.
