Marcum
Voted for Estrada. If Marcum only misses on turn (and isn’t placed on the DL), I’d use Estrada. If Marcum will be out for awhile, I may be interested in seeing what Rivas could do.

OT for this thread....
But Pujols out 4-6 weeks with a forearm fracture. If it’s 4, he’ll be back for the next series with the Brewers, if 6, he’ll potentially miss 2 series, one 2-game and one 3-game set.

I hate to say it..
but this would be a GREAT time for the Brewers to go on a good run. Without Pujols, the Crew might be able to pick up a couple games on the Cards that they normally wouldn’t be able to with Pujols in the lineup. Tough luck for Pujols though, just as he was getting hot.
It's not so much that we SHOULD make the playoffs.. it's that to retain my sanity, we NEED to make the playoffs.

And I concur about Estrada.
He’s a long inning guy. I don’t think he fills the situational role very well at all.

Voted Estrada also
He gives me the impression that the more he’s trotted out there to start the more he’s going to improve.
Mitre is probably an option
Too bad Miller Park has a roof, they could postpone the game with a “threat of rain” or something to keep the rotation together.

I'm not getting fooled
The last time I voted, Roenicke put Kotsay in the starting lineup. If I vote disapprove, they’ll probably drop Kotsay from the active roster and I’ll feel dumb again. I’m waiting until after the game tonight.
Would you rather feel dumb or have Kotsay on the roster?
I say vote disapprove.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
Interleague play is the dumbest thing in baseball
When division races are often decided by 1-2 games, it’s simply not fair that the Brewers have to play NYY/BOS/TBR/MIN and the Cardinals play Kansas City and whoever. Schedules need to be at least superficially balanced.
"PLUSH ALERT: THERE WAS AN UNTUCKING AT FENWAY!"
cards play
KC, Toronto, Baltimore, and Rays. So it’s:
Brewers v Cardinals schedules
Twins > Royals
Red Sox > Blue Jays
Yankees > Orioles
Rays = Rays
Seems quite unfair. But hey, the baseball gods are evening thing up by striking down Pujols.

Sveum
I know it’s typical fan overreaction on my part, but I voted disapprove to Dale Sveum for the first time solely because of the horrendous approach the Brewers had at the plate against Wakefield’s knuckler. It was so painful to watch every Brewer swing as hard as humanly possible at every pitch and keep whiffing the whole game with absolutely no change in approach, even when they were down by 8 runs with no one on base (no such thing as a 6 run HR, guys!). Note to Sveum: best approach to hitting knuckleball does NOT equal close your eyes and swing for the fences!
