I am shocked we can only get 58% to agree to drop Kotsay.
Give him an offspeed pitch down and in. He will swing and miss.
Didn't you hear?
He’s going to be the centerpiece in our trade for Jose Reyes.

Some things that caught my attention
If 58% of voters think that Kotsay should go, while Doug Melvin’s approval rating is still pretty stable, I’m trying to figure out if the +4% rise in the ‘Undecided’ option indicate that we’re getting a lot closer to “wait-and-see” mode? I know that I’ve generally selected “approve” as an option.
But I feel as though I haven’t decided when I press yes! I’m not in much of a hurry to blame our Mustachioed GM, but there are clearly quite a few expectations that many of us are banking on; 1.) Yuni 2.)Kotsay
Roenicke’s rating does not come as a shock to me. My perceptions of other teams’ managers and general acceptance by those fans are often skewed by the success or revival of a team.

Speaking as a statistician
Making 20 assumptions and ignoring all of the terrible biases and randomly guessing at a design effect, the margin of error on trend change is probably about +- 6% at 95% confidence. Any change on a given answer greater than 6% is probably notable. Anything at or below 6% is just random noise.

Eh
How long do you expect YB to be the shortstop?
I guess I should have a caveat on my ‘by the trade deadline’ vote: that’s what I HOPE will happen. Generally my hopes aren’t in line with Doug’s reality.
"If we want to sign a Type A free agent, we would lose a second-round pick, but we don't have a way to get picks back. Our whole Draft process needs to be redone."

Kyle,
Could you include the Y/Y data in the next one? Only the ones that are relevant, I guess. Maybe Melvin comparisons, manager stuff, etc. I could see the point that there would need to be context behind each one—like a big win/loss streak—, but would still be fun to see how the season progresses compared to last year. Thanks ;)

I'm not sure I understand what you're looking for.
You want me to compare this year’s data to last year?
Now that's great tasting chicken!
I wasn’t too upset about Gamel not being called up because, though we are in a the middle of a long stretch of interleague play, there hasn’t been a long stretch of AL ballpark games. There is a back to back Yankees-Twins series on the road next week, so maybe there will still be a call-up.
I also don’t see a much better option than Kotsay as the 4th/5th outfielder. He hasn’t been that bad offensively or defensively.
Having said that, it would have been nice to trot Gamel up as the tying run in yesterday’s game.
I'm required by law to tell you
that Kotsay has been bad both offensively and defensively. For 5+ years now.
