Cody Scarpetta returned to AA
He was with the team yesterday in case they needed long relief.
Side note: My internet is back up and running, but it's too late now to start work on the Mug. It will return tomorrow.

Gamel went down so he could come up
Have they said who is coming up to fill this roster spot? or is someone coming off the DL that I am forgetting?
"It's a joke. It's all a joke.
I'd assume a pitcher?
McClendon or Dillard perhaps? I know Kintzler and Stetter are rehabbing in Arizona, but they’re probably at least a couple weeks away. Maybe I’m missing someone.

How about someone new?
It could make sense to make the move over the All-Star Break. Melvin loves finding relievers at the trade deadline so he could be keeping that roster spot open for the Brewers newest rental reliever whoever that may be.

I'm not sure they need it right now
They’ll have everyone fresh after the deadline. Hawkins and Saito have been OK and improving post-injury, Loe is good when facing RHB, Braddock should be better, Axford is awesome. If RR manages the ’pen a little better, I think its OK as currently constructed.
Looking forward, I hope they don’t trade anything of value for a bullpen arm. De La Cruz, Scarpetta and even Santo Manzanillo are guys who have great stuff and could be useful bullpen pieces to bring up in August or September.

Ho long was Dillard down?
I know that you can’t recall a guy within 10(?) days after he gets optioned down if there isnt an injury.

It would for yesterday's game.
(if the time frame isnt 10 days)

Right
But the discussion is about who’s filling Scarpetta’s roster spot going forward.
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
My guess is it's Dillard
And that 10-day rule is why they haven’t named anyone yet, and won’t until at least tomorrow.

Kintzler
I didnt know that he was close to returning. I think this guy can be a real help to our bullpen. I far prefer seeing Kintzler back than trading for a reliever.
I'm not sure that he's close
I read comments from him somewhere that said he hopes for a “late July, early August” return, he might have been optimistic.

Hopefully he gets called up again later in the season
Otherwise this is going to be a really hard question a few years from now in a Sporcle quiz about the 2011 Brewers roster.
