Win a $75 Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Card As Part Of Holiday Inn's Ultimate Baseball Road Trip Contest
Hey folks: I'm still working on the Mug this morning, but while you're waiting I wanted to pass along this opportunity to win some cool stuff via Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn is the Official Road Trip Partner of Major League Baseball. - KL
During the All Star Game tonight, Holiday Inn will be sponsoring the "Ultimate Baseball Road Trip" contest. The winner will receive two tickets to the major league game of their choice, airfare and Holiday Inn accommodations. You could go anywhere: You could follow the Brewers to St. Louis or Cincinnati for a critical playoff chase game. You could visit a park you've never seen before. You could try to be the only fan in attendance when the Marlins and Nationals play in Miami on Monday, September 26. The possibilities are endless.
Entering is pretty easy, too. All you have to do is predict which All Star team ("AL" or "NL") will have more hits tonight, and text that prediction to "88222." I don't think you even have to wait for tonight's game - I'm pretty sure you can do it now.
In addition, Holiday Inn has given me a $75 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card to give away, and I'm going to pass it to one lucky commenter on this post. To enter, all you have to do is tell me where you'd go if you won the Ultimate Road Trip contest. Entries will remain open until 10 am tomorrow, and I'll select a winner from the comments at random at that point.
Thanks to Holiday Inn for making this possible, and good luck!
Full disclosure: Holiday Inn is also giving me a gift card for writing this post. - KL

Cool
Think I’d actually visit the Mets on August 20th (against the Brewers of course). Make a weekend out of it, maybe see if I can score some Book of Mormon tickets too.
All this brouhaha over what cap Dawson might wear is silly. Big question: How will he get in? He's not going to walk.
Same with me.
The Mets part, not the Book of Mormon part.
i can probably only make a weekend trip
so i’d look to go (a) on a weekend obviously, and (b) to a stadium i haven’t seen. so assuming i can’t go to denver this weekend, that leaves the astros the weekend of 9/3 or reds the weekend of 9/17. i guess i’d probably go astros, as i’ve been to cinci (old riverfront).
I’d like to go to one of the Brewer games in San Francisco next week. Beautiful Park, two of the top teams in the NL.
I'd go see em play the Mets Aug 20
Bright Lights, Bigger City.

living in PA...
ive never been to Miller Park so i’d probably go to a home game, ha!
I'd go to 9/28 vs the Bucs
Not living in Wisconsin, it would be a great trip back home. I would prefer that they run away with the division, but I think making the playoffs will come down to winning that last game. That’s a game I want to be at.
If it has to be regular season
I’d want to head to whatever they call the Giants stadium now.
AT&T Park.
It’s gorgeous. A little “family friendly” or whatever, but the field and the view is incredible. Food’s good, too.

September Time!
I would go to St. Louis in September to watch what could shape out to be a pretty big series……I would attend this only if I couldn’t attend a playoff game.
I'd go to Wrigley
Reasons:
1) Enjoyment of seeing the Cubs lose
2) Enjoyment of seeing the Brewers win
3) If I get homesick the troughs would remind me of Scotland

September 17th
I’d go see them play the Reds September 17th. Not only will this be a great game with the playoffs on the line but I believe Cincinnati has the largest celebration of Oktoberfest in the US and they celebrate it this weekend, so a nice bonus :)
St. Louis
I’d definitely want to go down to St. Louis for the series against the Cards in early September- the 5th. Busch Stadium looks beautiful, it would (clearly) be a great game, and I’d make a quick stop at the Arch while I was in town.
I think I'd have to go to Fenway
I’ve never been, and its one of those historical parks. Plus, my wife loves Boston, so it would be easier to twist her arm into going.

I'm going with the Brewers vs. Mets series
Pretty cool of Holiday Inn to pay attention to the blogosphere where the rabid fans reside.

Houston at the end of the season
I’d watch the lowly Astros knock the Cardinals out of the playoffs during the last series of the year.

I'd go 9/24 against the Marlins
not living in Wisconsin I need to take a road trip just to see a home game!
Ugh, Betancourt
Miller Park!
I live in NC, and would take the opportunity to go back to Milwaukee to visit some extended family. Probably wait till September, when we’re in the thick of the pennant race, right?
St. Louis - September 6
To celebrate my wife’s birthday as we watch the Crew in the midst of sweeping STL!
At S.F. late July. Always have wanted to go to S.F. and visit that park
Second choice would be St. Louis in September for a potential playoff implication series
I was disappointed with the lack of hookers but the pancakes were delightful
Mets on Aug. 19
I’m stealing PaulNoonan’s idea and would try to get tickets for the Book of Mormon for the next night.

Rematch against Tim Lincecum at old Candlestick Park.
Time machine not included.

I'd have to go Astros for the 8/5 series
I’ve been to 45/50 states, and Texas is not one of them. Would love to check that off the list and hopefully see something weird happen on the hill in center.
New York City
Mets in August. New ballpark and the big city.
road trip
My son and I have been to 24 stadiums together so far. He’s 24 and still talks to me so there is evidence of the worth of going to baseball games with the kids. Anyway, Seattle is way out of the way of even the West Coast teams, so I would go there with my son to help complete the total journey, which we’ll finish some day.
Joe5348
New York City in October.
Want to see the Yankees stadium.
PNC Park definately
keep hearing how beautiful of a park it is, I gotta go check it out (if they ever play the Bucs on a weekend of course)
This game is bigger than YOU or ME.
Without me, the game will go on...Without the game, I won't go on
August 22 at Pittsburgh
for the double header!

I would go to Coors Field July 14th!
In doing so, I would visit my aunt and uncle who I haven’t seen since my grandfather passed away about 4 years ago now. The last time I was out in Denver—many years ago—we went to Mile High stadium to watch a game.

I'd totally want to go to Pittsburgh for the double header
Or a random game in Seattle. Always wanted to go there.
I don't get why some people think I'm weird.

Oh, and I'd go to St. Louis just to see what it's like
It’ll be like being around royalty for a full 6 hours (including pregame festivities).
miller in August vs Pirates
Would love to see us stomp them out of contention.

Would love to go to Pittsburgh
to see that fancy stadium
He’s actually underrated, but that’s another can of worms…
Would love to go see a game at PNC.
Saw it on my way driving to DC once, but it was a non-game day so we just stopped by to take some pictures.
Crossed Turner Field off my list last year, and Target Field this year. Will also get to cross off Chase Field, sort of, as I saw a game there ten years ago but it was not a Brewers game. Hoping to get to one, possibly two games in Arizona next week.
