Fielder, Hart, Loe, Weeks or Wolf: Who Will Be Brewer Of The Week?
The Brewers are coming off a 2-2 week and a relatively historic All Star Game performance. I think this week's vote is pretty clear cut, but it's up to you to decide between these five candidates:
- Prince Fielder was the first Brewer ever to homer in the All Star Game and won the game's MVP award. He also reached the second round in the Home Run Derby and hit .182/.412/.273 with a double and five walks in four regular season games this week.
- Corey Hart has a hit in all four Brewer games this week, including a three hit game on Friday. He's hitting .375/.444/.563 this week.
- Kameron Loe allowed just one hit and no walks while pitching 4.1 scoreless innings this week, including the final two innings of Sunday's win.
- Rickie Weeks became the first Brewer ever to steal a base in the All Star Game on Tuesday. He's also hitting .313/.450/.625 with three extra base hits this week.
- Randy Wolf held the Reds to three runs (two earned) on seven hits and four walks over seven innings during Sunday's 4-3 win.

I'm not saying he would win this week.
However, considering that Mark Kotsay had some big hits on Friday and Sunday, and a decent weekend against the Reds, shouldn’t he be on this list?

He probably should.
I wouldn’t vote for him—I voted for Prince—, but he does the nod to go in. Can’t believe I said that!

Kotsay made the final cut for consideration
Really, he only missed the ballot because I always put at least two pitchers on.
Now that's great tasting chicken!
He was on the ballot last week
However, the poll covers Friday – Thursday, and his good games were Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the most recent one..

To each his own, I guess
but there’s no reason Fielder should get this over Weeks. Unless people really care more about exhibition games than they do about regular season games.

You are likely correct.
I honestly thought I would be one of five people who voted Prince. Not so.

Prince shouldn't get it over anyone on that list
with a stat line of .182/.412/.273
Pujols is the Barack Obama of baseball.
Apparently 68% of people vehemently disagree with this statement.
I feel like I’m in Old Vegas.
