right here — in addition to this, it appears to be Dillard’s final option.
That's not how it works.
His option was already used for this year, so he’s got one option year left.
Proudly waving the "Retire Craig Counsell" banner since 2011.

final option year.*
sorry. I can’t verify ATM, but I believe he was optioned in 2008 and 2009 as well.
Actually, digging in a bit more, he didn't start the year on the Brewer's 40-man roster
so his option wasn’t used prior to this move in 2011. In addition to today, he was previously optioned on Jun 20th, 2008 for ’08 and August 1st, 2009 for ’09. This is his final option year.
Or does he get another year of options because 2012 is only his 5th year in the league?
Now I’ve gone cross-eyed…. I quit. Can anyone else confirm any of this?
So stupid. I am geting the impression that Kotsay would have to murder a busload of orphans to get cut from this team.
For your health!
It's hard to take this team seriously when they still employ Kotsay.
I am too drunk to taste this chicken.

I think he'd be a great employee.
I hear his veteran presence and grit can make a great pot of coffee.
Applying pop culture to Brewers discussions since 2009, earning the nickname of "Our Little Abed".
But but but
Ronny said it would be a position player!
"If we want to sign a Type A free agent, we would lose a second-round pick, but we don't have a way to get picks back. Our whole Draft process needs to be redone."
