He's been better lately, but Casey McGehee is having easily the most forgettable season of his major league career. A year ago today, though, he was on one of his most notable hot streaks.
The streak started on August 10, 2010, when McGehee doubled in his final at bat against the Diamondbacks. The next day he was unstoppable, going 4-for-4 with a home run and three singles. And on the third day he didn't cool down, going 4-for-4 and finishing a triple short of the cycle in an 8-4 Brewer win.
He grounded out in his first at bat the next day to end the streak, but McGehee's hits in nine straight at bats set a new Brewer franchise record. The Brewers failed to take advantage of McGehee's heroics: They lost two of the three games in the streak.
