Axford, Braun, Fielder, Gallardo or Hart: Who Will Be Brewer Of the Week?
This week's 2-4 record was a pretty solid disappointment, but the Brewers still do have some individual contributions worthy of BotW consideration:
John Axford only recorded one save but pitched four scoreless innings this week, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out six. He also pitched two innings for the first time all season on Tuesday. He was worth +.547 WPA.
Ryan Braun had two multi-hit games this week and hit an eleventh inning walkoff home run on Tuesday. He hit .269/.269/.423 this week and was worth +.226 WPA.
Prince Fielder had hits in all six games this week (his hitting streak is currently at eight games), drew four walks and hit a solo home run to tie Tuesday's game. He's hitting .333/.440/.571 this week and was worth +.294 WPA.
Yovani Gallardo tied a career high with 12 strikeouts on Sunday, holding the Phillies to two runs on three hits over seven innings. He was worth +.043 WPA this week.
Corey Hart had two multi-hit games this week and four of his six hits went for extra bases. He also drew five walks for a .286/.423/.619 line and +.070 WPA.

Glad to see Ax jump out to an early lead
He’s 1 save away from 40 consecutive saves. That’s amazing, considering the previous club record for consecutive saves was 25. He’s very deserving to win at least once this season.

Also, would be a nice little (verb) you to Rodriguez
and his whining about not closing
Prince: "Brewers will win the World Series and I'll sign a 10-year deal in Milwaukee"
Braun: "Well, I guess there's just one thing to do then..."

I think if there's any week Ax is finally going to get Brewer of the Week
It’s this one. I believe I voted for him for the first time this week.
