Yesterday, Sept 16th, the person in question went 4/4 with 2 walks. Since the last series the Brewers won from the Cardinals, he's been on quite a tear, and has been seemingly unstoppable.
My thought is simple. Ever since the "incident" where we supposedly went after him according to LaSorta (you know the same day that the pitcher went out of his way TWICE to hit Braun), it seems like every single pitcher has been afraid to go up and in on Albert. He is notoriously weak against this pitch, but it seems to me that nobody, NOBODY, not even the mighty Phillies are willing to pitch to his weakness.
My question is this. Why is it that people are afraid to give him an up and in STRIKE or just off the plate fastball? If he's not able to stretch his arms, he's not gonna be able to extend and hit it hard.
Ever since that day, everyone has pitched him low and away, and he's gotten hot.
