BCB Kriegers Draft
A GREAT time was had by all. The chat thread had almost everything, from offered oral pleasure to the entire league for letting a player drop, to someone getting Jay Cutler Autopicked for them. It was phenomenal. 9 of 12 showed, and it seemed those that didn't properly pre-ranked, so this'll be a great time. Here are the rounds, and I'll analyze in the comments. Feel free to do the same. BTW, the Packers D went in the 6th of this one. Figure that shit out.

Having bookend picks is fun
I’ve never had 1 overall or last in any draft I’ve ever done.
Also, I don’t care that I cost everyone fellatio by taking Boldin. The sweet, sweet signature that comes with winning this league will be far more pleasant.
Yeah, your team is stacked
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Yeah, I feel good about my starters
Starters:
QB: Matt Ryan
RB1:Adrian Peterson
RB2: Peyton Hillis
RB/WR: Marshawn Lynch
WR1: Mike Wallace
WR2: Anquan Boldin
TE: Dallas Clark
DEF: NYG
K: Rob Bironas
Bench:
QB: Kevin Kolb
RB: Michael Bush
RB: Darren Sproles
WR: Jordy Nelson
WR: Braylon Edwards
TE: Jared Cook
I took Kolb on the off chance he has a dynamite year. He could be nice trade bait if he becomes the QB the Eagles thought he would become. I picked most of my bench guys with my starters bye weeks in mind, that’s why they’re not as good as they possibly could have been. I think my bench WRs still could be contributors though.
Hillis
is going to show Casey what regression looks like.
Brewers:
7.5 games ahead of the Uptight Citizens Brigade
1 game behind the Braves for the Wild Card Safety Net
2.5 games ahead of Arizona to avoid the Phils in the 1st round

Yes
I could have kept him for a 14th round pick and I passed. Kept Finley and Vincent Jackson for a 13th and 14th instead.
Brewers:
8.5 games ahead of the Uptight Citizens Brigade
2 games ahead of the Braves for the Wild Card Safety Net
2.5 games ahead of Arizona to avoid the Phils in the 1st round
man your keeper league is f*cked
where did Cobb go?

Anyone picked up off waivers
is a 14th round pick and you can only keep 2 per year. Cobb was undrafted and got picked up this week. I was going to take him but the Pack has too many scoring options and I get his return yards and points already since I have the Pack D.
Brewers:
8 games ahead of the Uptight Citizens Brigade
1/2 game ahead of the Braves for the Wild Card Safety Net
1.5 games ahead of Arizona to avoid the Phils in the 1st round
Longest it's ever taken me to draft a running back.
Ever.
The Brewers at Miller Park: "ALL WE DO IS WIN, WIN, WIN NO MATTER WHAT"
The Brewers on the road: See above
My team is high risk/high reward.
Schaub
McCoy
Jackson
Ingram
Harvin
Marshall
Gates
Ravens D
Rackers
Bench of high potential guys and Driver.
I'm drafting in my first PPR and IDP league tomorrow
it’s going to be weird… it’s also an 8 person league, which will also be weird.
Hyatt's Thoughts
Round 1- no surprises here, other than Andre Johnson falling to 10. I passed on him because I had Mendenhall ranked 5th overall. Tepo was enamored with vick at 8. Still, nothing make me say whoa here.
Round 2- Again, I have to explain a QB choice. I took Rivers at 16 because I knew that after Brees went off the board at 13, I wouldn’t get a top tier guy and have to deal with 1A guys. Also, Jennings and White went right before my picks, so going receiver there would be a stretch. I also saw the depth of 2nd tier RBs lasting until the third. So I pulled the trigger. Questions for me include Brees going as early as he did, as I have him in the Brady/Manning tier below Rodgers, Vick and Rivers. Also, I’m not a big McFadden fan as you could read from the previous post, so Fitzgerald and company at WR and several 3rd round RBs going after him was another surprise.
Round 3- I like every pick after Mcfadden up until Gates at 31 more than him. That’s where I thought he should go. My only issues in the round are the auto picks of Dez and Deangelo. Taking a #2 receiver in the third and a guy who’s sharing carries in the third are hard to explain other than not ranking your autopicks.
Round 4- The auto picks did much better here, though I don’t like Bowe this year. It’s a schedule thing more than anything else. Moreno was questionable call. I love Ryan at the end of the round, more so than Shaub and even Romo, though I love Romo this year, just not in front of Ryan.
Round 5- My queue was decimated throughout this round, as Colston, Santonio, Felix, Witten, and Matthews all went of the board. Luckily Steve Johnson fell to me, and I see him building another big year even though Evans is in Baltimore now. Jonathon Stewart on the other hand… How are these Carolina carry sharers going well before Packer carry sharers? It’s ridiculousness in my mind.
Round 6- I had two guys in the queue and both were there. I went with Benson, who will again carry the load, as I trust the Bengals O-line more than I do Flacco’s arm. Well Boldin kept falling and falling and I humiliated myself with an offer. But that’s neither here nor there. He fell to the end of the round and Fiesta made an inspired pick. Worst pick was a Defense at the beginning of the 6th. Just an awful pick. I also wasn’t too happy with the Fred Jackson pick. Yeah he’s good, but they are trying to get Spiller the ball as much as possible.
Round 7- still some good stuff going here. Amazing to me is people freaking out in the draft room over the Tim Hightower pick. He’s a fumble machine with two guys nipping at his heels for carries. AND HE PLAYS ON THE REDSKINS. They aren’t very good at football. Since they’ll be behind so much, they won’t run the ball that much. James Jones was also an early pick, especially for a guy who may be the 4th receiver on his team, same with Collie. I like Moss, Green, and Rice more for the opposite reason. A #1 receiver on a bad team is still worth more than the 4th guy on a good team.
Round 8- I loved the Ocho pick at the top of the round, and the Mike Thomas and Knox picks as well. Joe Addai should be pretty huge especially with no one knowing what pey-pey can handle early on in the season. The Steelers D pick was a little more round appropriate too. Picks I don’t like include are the backup running backs on bad teams in Thomas and Spiller.
Round 9- now it gets thin. Reggie Bush and the 2 D’s were good picks. And the wife asked me what I was laughing at when Roy Williams went off the board. But it wasn’t as bad as what happened next…
Round 10- I almost pissed myself laughing at Cutler going off the board. Torrain could pick up some good carries once Hightower fumbles his way out of the job. Crabtree could be great if he had a QB, and Kolb could be a top 10 guy.
Round 11- Sims Walker is the only non-TE who has a shot at starting and making an impact for a team.
Round 12- Bess has a chance to become a Welker-like Flex guy if Henne becomes the QB that he was hyped to be last off-season. Cooley was a great TE pick as he’ll be above average.
Round 13- I like no picks here
Round 14- Moeaki just went on IR, so that’s fun. Ben Tate and Amendola could become Flex guys
Round 15- Kickers and trash.

Dez Bryant is going to have a monster season
Every man must believe in something, I believe I'll have another drink.
Already working on cutting Moeaki.
It really was a double mistake on my part—even if he were healthy, he’s a backup tight end with the same by week as my starter.
Agreed on GB defense on the 6th being a terrible pick
The projected difference between GB’s D and NYG D (which I took 83 picks later) is 40 points different. In a 13 game regular season, that’s less than 4 pts/game. Is 4 pts/game worth drafting that much earlier?
Ignoring the fact that he took ANOTHER defense in the 13th round, he could have taken a guy like Brandon Marshall instead of the Packer’s D, who would have instantly become the 2nd best WR on his team.
Jay Cutler? Jay fucking Cutler?
how the fuck did i end up with jay fucking cutler? Could swear i set my roster settings to one QB only. dammit all to hell
Every man must believe in something, I believe I'll have another drink.
honestly it was just a double dose of bad news yesterday
one i drafted jay cutler and two rashad jennings being placed on the IR. I really like him as a sleeper this year and drafted him in a different league a little early because of it.
the more i look at this team i am pleasantly surprised at how well it went. i am stacked at WR
Every man must believe in something, I believe I'll have another drink.
No, it's a horrible pick, and deserved to be mocked mercilessly

I was surpirsed to get Foster at 6
what was the deal with that? I know he has a bad hammy, but why did he hang around so long.
He’s actually underrated, but that’s another can of worms…
he also lost Vonta Leach blocking for him at FB
who Ray Rice gained. Leach is maybe the best blocking FB in the NFL at the moment.
When LT lost Lorenzo Neal in SD, his yards per carry dropped by almost 25%. When he went to the Jets and had John Conner blocking for him, it seemed like he got a second wind. It wasn’t that LT magically got better because of the change of scenery, it was that he had a good blocking FB again.
In SAT form: fullback is to tailback as quarterback is to wide receiver. Maybe the relationship isn’t quite as pronounced, but they’re still dependent on talented team mates to put up monster years.
So that, combined with injury concerns and how hard it is to repeat, caused his stock to fall quite a bit (at least in my mind).
I wasnt at the draft so its my own damn fault
I was pretty aprehensive taking him at #1 in another draft given your concerns, but with his talent, I don’t mind getting him at #6.
He’s actually underrated, but that’s another can of worms…
Cutler's Pottery Barn Gift Receipt's Draft
Round 1 (9)- After seeing Vick and Rodgers go relatively early, I took the best RB on the board in Mendenhall. The other consideration was Andre Johnson, Though I felt Mendenhall was better in comparison to the remaining RBs than Johnson was to every receiver.
Round 2 (16)- Brees just went, as did Roddy and Jennings. I had a choice. I could wait on a QB and get Fitty, or I could take a top flight QB since all that would be remaining when it came around again would be possibly Brady and Manning before it really drops into the 2nd tier and hope for someone in the Wallace/Wayne/Vjax tier.. I pulled the trigger on Rivers.
Round 3 (33)- So none of those guys fell, and even Djax was gone. So I went with the top RB on my board, Shonn Greene.
Round 4 (40)- Had to go Reciever here, and Austin was gone. Top guy on my board was Lloyd, but I’m nervous about how he’ll do in John Fox’s run first offense.
Round 5 (57)- Receiver again. Colston and my boy santonio (or Santana if you’re Emmitt Smiff) gone, so next guy up was Stevie Johnson. Buffalo’s only threat, but it was the same deal last year. He’ll produce.
Round 6 (64)- Huge internal debate on this one. Do I go Benson or do I go Boldin. Benson will be the sole guy who remaining who will get 80% of his teams carries. Boldin is consistent for 70, 1000, and 5. I go with Benson and hope for Boldin to fall.
Round 7 (81)- He doesn’t. I’m stuck with the choice of Green, Sidney Rice, and Ocho who has looked just done. Green has the best chance to flourish, so I’m going there.
Round 8 (88)- so I have 3 WRs and 3 RBs. too early for a D or backup QB. so let’s see who’s there… Addai, knox, thomas… Addai will produce more since the colts need to get yards somehow.
Round 9 (105)- Hell, Brandon Jacobs looks like a fine TD vulture and could be a great flex guy. Why not… well other than he’s a backup… god I don’t like this pick, but where else was I going to go?
Round 10 (112)- Top D’s are startign to go, so do I go Bears or Ravens? I should’ve gone with the Ravens based on schedule. But I chose the Bears.
Round 11 (129)- Hmm… I don’t have a TE yet… Keller is there as is gonzalez. Well I already have Gonzalez in the Swansons league, so let’s change things up. Keller it is.
Round 12 (136)- How is Devone Bess still there? He’s Miami’s Welker!!!
Round 13 (153)- Gonzalez is still on the board? Fine.
Round 14 (160)- Hmm… I don’t have a back up QB. Colt McCoy or a bunch of shit. McCoy it is.
Round 15 (177)- Kicker Time!!!! Matt Bryant kicks in a dome as part of a high output offense. Done.
