while I mostly agree with those rankings
man, that guy is a terrible writer. did anyone else see the Rays column a week or two ago in which he literally put together a roster of guys named Ray? It was like something that a 12 year old kid named Ray would put on his tumblr blog. Half the time I find myself reading things and just asking myself "how on earth did this shit wind up front and center on a high traffic sports site?

yeah, jeff is excellent.
try his closer mentality post
"Sportsmanship is just loser talk for losing."
eh, agree to disagree then
I’ve seen better from high school newspapers….boring and cliched, and frequently lacking in any real substance.

Jeff's irreverent style is something that is definitely a refreshing change
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

you obviously didn't read the article by Hal whatshisname on mlb.com
about how the Phillies are fated to lose because only 2 of 20 teams that had over 100 victories have won the world series in the 8 team playoff era. Sigh at mathfails.
