AKA, we saw the initial fan reaction to the ESPN report and don't want Braun to hate Milwaukee.
Solve for X: 5.5 (Fielder) + 0.3 (McGehee) + 0.5 (Betancourt) < X (Gamel) + 3.6 (Ramirez) + 1.1 (Gonzalez)... X >= 1.7 fWAR!

Seems that some fans think Braun not going is some kind of admission of guilt. Apparently, they aren’t considering the fact that just about every person getting Braun’s autograph will likely ask him about the case.

I think that has zero to do with the increasing or decreasing the chances of a suspension
And all to do with what tcyoung said in the 1st comment

The Decision is questionable
What I find amusing is that the On Deck Lineup of names was announced AFTER Braun’s positive test was. I can specifically remember saying “Wow, all the cloud of controversy around Braun right now and he is still coming?”
It doesn’t make sense to me to announce he is coming (after the scandal broke) and then re nig on it.
The proper thing to do would have been to release the list of names, and then say something like “Ryan Braun’s decision on whether he will appear will be announced at a later date.”
