The Brewers wrapped up the 2012 season with a whimper and a 3-3 homestand. Here are the top performances from a disappointing week.
John Axford pitched scoreless innings on back-to-back-to-back days in the Padres series, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out seven of the nine batters he retired. He was worth +.271 WPA this week.
Marco Estrada pitched eight scoreless innings against the Astros on Saturday, allowing just four hits and a walk while striking out eleven. He was worth +.157 WPA this week.
Carlos Gomez had hits in all five of his starts this week, including a pair of home runs. He hit .316/.350/.684 and was worth +.124 WPA.
Travis Ishikawa went 3-for-8 this week with a pair of doubles, drove in four of the Brewers' six runs on Wednesday and walked twice. He hit .375/.500/.625 and was worth +.215 WPA.
Aramis Ramirez had a hit in all five of his appearances this week, including a triple and a home run. He hit .467/.500/.800 and was worth +.329 WPA.
