Michael Otis "Tiny" Felder was born 51 years ago today.

On this day in 1961 Michael Otis "Tiny" Felder was born in Vallejo, California. The Brewers drafted him in the third round of the 1981 January draft and he went on to have a pretty long major league career for a guy who was only listed at 5'8" and 160 pounds.

Felder got a cup of coffee with the 1985 team for his major league debut, and played parts of six seasons with the Brewers. He hit just .247/.301/.323 over 455 games but made up for some of that by stealing 108 bases in 135 attempts. That's still good enough for tenth on the Brewer all-time list.

The Brewers released Felder in spring training in 1991 but he went on to play four more major league seasons as a member of three teams. His B-Ref Bullpen page says he spent 2011 as an assistant coach at Academy of Art University.

Felder turns 51 today. With help from Brewerfan.net and the B-Ref Play Index, we'd also like to wish a happy birthday to:

Today is also 1988-91 Brewer Gary Sheffield's 44th birthday.
