When you pull your shirts out after a hard days work…think of him.

it seems to me that..
..more players retire at the beginning of spring training than the end of the prior season.
It’s easier to know you’re really done when you’re staring a new season in the face, rather than looking back at one that just ended. Also, heading into spring you have a better idea of what your role on your team might be, or, if you don’t have a team, what your realistic options are going forward.
