Cesar Izturis is having a rough spring.

W: Tom Milone (1-0)
L: Francisco Rodriguez (0-1)

HR: None

Having baseball on TV is almost always better than not having baseball on TV, but the Brewers tested that theory today as they committed four errors and managed just two hits in their first loss of the spring. The first hit came off the bat of Jonathan Lucroy, who doubled for the second time in two spring appearances. The second was a two out triple for Logan Schafer in the ninth inning.

Meanwhile, those four errors proved costly as the first four A's runs in the game were unearned. Three of them scored in the sixth after Caleb Gindl lost a fly ball in the sun and Cesar Izturis committed a throwing error. Izturis had two errors on the day and now has three already this spring.

Meanwhile, Yovani Gallardo pitched two scoreless innings today in his Cactus League debut, allowing one hit and striking out four. Francisco Rodriguez, Manny Parra, Amaury Rivas, Tyler Thornburg, Mike McClendon, Dan Meadows and Vinnie Chulk also made their first appearances of the spring today

The Brewers won't be on TV again for a while, but they will be back in action tomorrow when they head to Glendale to face the White Sox.
