Braves 10, Brewers 8: Ron Roenicke's Postgame Comments

As seen on FS Wisconsin:

On the eighth inning:

Yeah, it was. Good pitch, first ball Prada hits a ground ball straight up the middle. Freeman has a great at bat, fouls off a couple of great pitches, stays alive long enough to walk. McCann has a great at bat and hits a ball on the button that we make a play on. And then Uggla...it's just a well placed ball. Frankie actually threw the ball well.

On Brian McCann:

McCann can hit. Every time I see this guy the guy can hit. I know I looked up at his average coming in but this guy, he worries me. There's not too many places you can go to get him out. And every year I see him he's the same way. He can really hit.

On Randy Wolf:

Yeah, Randy, he left some balls up that they didn't miss. They did a real nice job hitting tonight. But Randy, all night he couldn't get the feel for the ball. Even the first batter, he'd throw the ball and he'd ask for a new one back. But for some reason, I don't know if it was the balls or maybe a different temperature coming in, for some reason he didn't have a good feel. And that went on for the whole game with him. He was fighting it the whole game.

On losing this game:

I don't ever like to lose games, but we played a great game. We really played well. Offensively we were outstanding, we made some nice defensive plays. I really liked the way we played today. They just really swung the bat well. And coming in, that's why I hate to look at numbers of guys because coming in you don't know what it's like. And these guys, when they're swinging good they're a good offensive team.

On Corey Hart's double in the sixth:

The one that hit the yellow line right? It's in play. A couple more inches and that's another run. Rickie hits a bullet to right field and Heyward jumps up and catches it, you know? He had to be tall to catch it. But it's always tough to lose but I really liked the way we played.

On the bullpen:

Kameron threw very good, And like I said, I thought Frankie threw the ball well too and it just didn't work out for him. But Estrada was nice. They did a good job.

On Wolf in the fifth, when he got caught in a rundown and then allowed six runs:

Yeah, I don't want to say why that inning was any different than the others, but he really didn't have a feel for what was going on. And Randy, he's a feel pitcher. That's when he gets on a roll is because he has great feel and command for his pitches. And he was a little all over.
