The Brewers took a step back with a 2-4 week and limited contributions from some usual ballot mainstays, but still gave us five pretty good candidates for 2012's second BOTW:
Mat Gamel had six hits in five starts this week, including multi-hit games in both the Braves and Dodgers series and his first home run of the season on Tuesday. He hit .316/.381/.474 this week but finished with -.001 WPA.
Zack Greinke pitched seven innings in the Brewers' ten inning win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on just four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. The outing was worth +.137 WPA.
George Kottaras only received 12 plate appearances this week but was on base in seven of them, with three hits and four walks. One of those hits was a pinch walkoff double on Tuesday. He hit .429/.636/1.000 this week and was worth +.579 WPA.
Kameron Loe pitched three times this week and posted four scoreless innings, walking one and allowing three hits while striking out two. He was worth +.281 WPA this week.
Shaun Marcum was a tough-luck loser on Saturday, allowing just two runs on three hits over seven innings against the Braves with two walks and six strikeouts. He was worth +.004 WPA this week.
