Yuni was out swatting Cardinals Sunday to make up for that sweep in Kansas City.

Royals took 2 of 3 in St. Louis and get 3 more games over in KC vs the Cards later this week.

Here is the unlikely story of how it came down:

Getz came off the DL so Beta was stuck with a platoon at 2nd vs lefties. Of course he hasn't played a lot at 2nd and he has always been a starter at SS.

So Sunday Getz gets hurt and Yuni comes in to play second base. As soon as Beta comes in cold a liner is hit over his head but he leaps high in the air and grabs it for the out. Vertical range :)

The game is a pitchers duel. Royals trail 2 to 1 in bottom of 9th with 2 outs and 0 2 count on Butler. Card fans are on their feet. Billy Butler smacks a homer to tie the game. Card fans shut up and sat down.

In the 12th Cards had 2 on and one out and a screaming liner was one hopped to Yuni. He grabbed the ball and turned a game saving DP.

Still 2-2 in the 14th when Yuni hits a clutch Double to score the go ahead run.

Cards tie the game 3 to 3 so on to the 15th.

Yuni clobbered a 2 run Home Run to win the game 5 to 3 and the few Card fans left went home like sad pandas.

YB is still beating on the Cards to help his old Brewer team mates.
