Brewers Claim SS Hector Gomez Off of Waivers, DFA Brandon Kintzler
Brandon Kintzler was DFA'd to clear a 40-man spot so #Brewers could claim SS Hector Gomez off waivers. He was optioned to the @bcmanatees.

Gomez has been in the Rockies organization his whole career, where he had a .268/.306/.425 line in seven minor league seasons. He has never played at Triple-A and had a very brief major league call up last season. Gomez was Baseball-America's #95 prospect prior to 2008, but the 24-year-old has played in just three games this season. He has been optioned to Brevard County.
